powdered buttermilk

You all were talking about using powdered buttermilk in ranch dressing instead of the fresh. When you do it do you mix the powdered stuff in with your mayo and then add water? That seems to be what the label says to do. I bought some of the powdered stuff tonight at Super Walmart. It was a dollar or so cheaper than somewhere else that I saw it.

Because of your question, I spotted 16oz SaCo cultured Buttermilk Blend at the grocery for $3.59 and bought it...only use I know of would be in Sherrilee's pancakes... Any other uses? ;-)

A few people mentioned using it in their ranch dressing...that's what I want to do. I used real buttermilk for the first time last week but I hate to buy that whole big bottle and only use a cup of it. I think Bruce was one who uses it in ranch dressing. Where are you Bruce?????
