There is a great recipe in Julie Sahni's "Classic Indian Cooking". If you cook Indian food often enough it is worth finding a decent Indian grocer. The spices will be far less expensive that Whole Foods or other supermarkets and many specialty items will be readily available.

made this last night. Very tasty. I added chunks of sweet potatoes to the sauce. I was out of the garam spice so I used a mild yellow curry powder with extra cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

I've been wanting to make some Indian food and stumbled across this thread. Just made it tonight. My kitchen is a disaster, but wow, this is good! (from sampling). I'm going to make some Cauli rice and serve it over that.

This is an absolute CRACKER of a recipe - thanks for bumping jazzyV! Made it this weekend - adore it and it's most definitely going into our permanent rotation.

Dehibellii, thank you so very much! And if you are still here, any other wonderful curry recipes you'd like to share? I love Indian food and none of the recipe books I've cooked from come close to this...

Is this correct? Isn't 1 1/2 lbs raw chicken more than 100g protein? All the calculator I've seen show it to be much higher.
