Does anyone freeze almond milk or cream to use later in smoothys?

I am constantly throwing away almond milk and cream,, I was wondering if I could freeze it in ice cube trays and use it later for icecream in the vitamixer or smoothys? I freeze leftover coffee like this , but I am not sure if I can with the milks.

i freeze almond milk all the time in the ice cube trays, i'd rather use that then regular ice cubes. after they are froze, i just put them in a ziploc. i have never froze the cream, but i don't know why you couldn't, i think i might try mixing the cream and almond milk together, then freeze, see how that turns out. it makes for a thicker shake, when you use the milk frozen, and doesn't get as diluted as with regular ice cubes

yup in ice cube trays, the almond milk, then use a few in iced coffee or a smoothie. I've never tried freezing cream but i'd imagine it would separate , but for a smoothie it'd be ok. I can keep a small cont of heavy cream a LONG long time in my frig btw. I don't know why it lasts longer than 1/2 & 1/2 but it does

I am so mad,, I wish I would of asked this ? before I threw out the rest of my almond milk..... I read on the web that you should whip your cream first then free it,, put it on a cookie sheet in mounds and then freeze. mm,, I might try that today.. I always smell my cream and it always smells bad to me so I never keep it long.. I guess unless it is really sour or curdled it is still probably ok..

cream

Look for "Ultra-Pasturized" cream and half and half, it lasts for over 6 weeks. The one I have now is dated for Oct 10.

I always freeze half the container of almond milk, then toss the cubes in with the other almond milk to use in smoothies. I have also thrown in the cubes into my coffee. Cream separates but is still usable. I threw away too many half used cartons of almond milk. And now I am making my own almond/cashew milk, much richer, and freezing it in ice cube trays.
