This is seriously my second favorite of all of her recipes. It's soooo awesome I feel just like I'm eating a chili dog with no deprivation of any sort! Only the WCP (White Castle Pie) beats it out!

I made this last night. LOVED IT! I didn't have tomato sauce, so I used chili diced tomatoes! Can't wait to eat it as a leftover for lunch. GUESSING it's probably even better the next day!!!!!

Yes! Even better the next day. The only problem is that hubby and I are fighting over who gets to eat the leftovers and he NEVER eats leftovers.

Anybody have a favorite hot dog to use in the recipe? I used Nathans because they were on sale and didn't seem to have a lot of junk in them.

I used Hebrew National hot dogs but Oscar Mayer makes a hot dog that has less than 1 carb. You have to read the label closely though because they also make some that look identical but have 2 carbs per dog. The only way to tell which ones are the lower carb ones is to read the nutritional info. The lower carb dogs have more fat in them than the higher carb ones.

Thanks, Linda Sue. I will check out Hebrew National. I think we have a local brand that is all beef that might work too.

I sometimes fear I am annoying other shoppers with my label reading (as they reach around me), but it is so important! I'm always amazed at what is lurking in those innocent little food packages.

I made this yesterday. It was okay but not something that I'll make again. I have 3/4 of an 8 X 8 pan left and trying to decide if I want it for dinner or need to make something else. After I ate some of it, I added more mustard on the top, which made it a tad better.

I made this for dinner tonight with hopes for leftovers for breakfast tomorrow. Nope! No leftovers. Everyone loved it. Another winning dinner here.
