Cottage cheese pancakes

I tried the cottage cheese pancake recipe and was just wondering are there different ways you can make these..... different flavors?

Not sure which specific recipe you are referring to, but if sweet, you can add different flavors of SF DaVinci syrup -- orange, etc might be nice. (You will probably have to reduce other liquid inthe recipe accordingly). Or add some cinnamon. Perhaps some cocoa (not the drink mix -- straight cocoa powder) for a chocolate version?

You can probably also make them savory by eliminating the swetteners and adding various herbs/spices.

HTH,

Mycattaz:

I know that as a WLSer you must have some protein powder on hand. Have you considered using some amount of protein powder in place of the oatmeal to lower the carbs and boost the protein even higher in your pancakes? You could then just add some SF maple syrup on top. (Walden Farms has a maple syrup that has zero cals/zero carbs and is surprisingly non-watery.)

Have you checked out the recipes section of Bariatric Eating? The recipes are way too high in carbs (and fat, in my opinion) but they ARE at least high protein, which as a WLSer you need. Why don't you browse over there and see if there are some recipes which can be adapted to a lower carb (and perhaps lower fat) plan:

BariatricEating.com Health & Nutrition - Bariatric Recipes

Of course, there are TONS of recipes for you here as well because a low carb plan is a great plan for post WLS.
