Favorite Recipe using Sour Cream?

I have about 1 1/2 cups of sour cream that I need to use up soon and can't think of anything to make. I looked in the recipe room but there were just too many recipes that came up using sour cream. I made a cheesecake for DH the other day, so anything other than a cheesecake would be great. TIA for any suggestions!!

How about loaded broccoli? Steam some broccoli..then add some grated cheddar and cooked bacon pieces and sour cream on the side..

I just made a quick dip with a bit of sour cream and some of Mrs. Dash's garlic and herb
sprinkle. Add some veggies and there you are.

Here's another recipe: You can replace the pineapple with other LC fruit..

Saw this in a cookbook..haven't made it, but it looks great. For those who can tolerate pineapple

1 small box of SF vanilla instant pudding
8 ounces crushed pineapple in its own juice
1 Tbs. Splenda
2 cups sour cream

One baked LC pie crust that has been cooled.

Mix the pudding with the pineapple, add the Splenda, then fold in the sour cream until all mixed well. Pour into LC pie crust..Refrigerate..

I need to use up some sour cream too, but have no sweetener (except honey) on hand.

What about a good casserole or quiche? Might cruise on over to LindaSue's website....

The Artichoke Chicken recipe in this forum uses sour cream.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have artichokes and homemade mayo I need to use up too. Looks like that's what I'll make. Thanks!! That dessert sounds wonderful too, that will be my next "use up the sour cream quick" recipe!

BEEF STROGONOFF >>>>>> 2 servings

Use either leftover roast beef or slice some partially frozen round steak (or similar) into 1/8 " slices. About 8 ozs.
Season w/little salt/pepper & Quick saute in HOT butter JUST til pink is gone. Remove from pan.
Add into same pan, 1 med. thinly sliced onion and either a can of mushrooms or about a dozen sliced fresh ones.
Saute til softened.
Add back the meat & heat thru then stir in about 1 cup sour cream & turn off heat....don't boil.
Serve over cauliflower "rice" or Fr. style string beans.

I also add sour cream instead of cream cheese to the Black Soy bean brownies and we love em. SC makes all baked goods moist and rich tasting.

Mix with mustard and spoon it over chicken before you bake it. SO GOOD!

[COLOR="DarkSlateGray"]Hi BA...
Sour cream and butter go well on hot cooked vegetables - especially, cauliflower, or broccoli, or cabbage, or turnips etc.

We do cabbage and kielbasa at least weekly, and it's always better with the butter and sour cream added.

I make both Chicken Paprikash and Hungarian Goulash, They are both basically Paprika flavored stews with sour cream stirred in at the end. Sour cream makes a great sauce for many dishes. Just finish the cooking and then stir in. Don't bring it to a boil again once the sour cream is added.
