if you had more time the baja bob line of mix isn't to bad. talk'in bout margaritas. of course, bacardi rum is a good standby. if diet coke as a mix isn't what you are after, try mixing some crystal light with rum, or even 1/2 crystal light and 1/2 diet sprite.
i would think a hot egg drink would be good with rum, sort of egg noggy.
at least these items could still be put to ese after the party is long gone.

Jello Shots

1 3 oz pkg. sf jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup vodka, you can get flavored vodka for raspberry jello or just use plain

Add jello to boiling water, dissolve. Add vodka and pour into 2 oz cups. Chill till firm.

The last time I made these, all I had were plastic bathroom cups. Those were some big shots and didn't take many of them to get us all tipsy!

You can also make a Strawberry-banana rum shot with strawberry banana sf jello and banana rum.

Since you don't drink much, you might reduce that alcohol to 1/2 cup and just add more water.

Or a Fuzzy navel Jello shot

1 pkg. sf orange jello
1 cup sf orange drink mix (like Walmart's early rise breakfast drink or sf tang)
1 cup peach snapps

Some people add an extra pkg of unflavored gelatin to their shots.

Good ideas for my Cayman vacation in December . . . I want to stay on plan but it wouldn't be a vacation without a few drinks.

actually, I drink so little peach schnapps, I would have to say the last time I indulged in that would be in the 80's.

But, I may have to do some experimenting. BTW, what in the world did you do with all those flavorings?

I brought Crystal Light Fruit Punch to Aruba with me and bought a bottle of rum when I got there. Our timeshare unit has a blender so I put it in with lots of ice. Not nearly as good as one of those frozen fruity drinks....but it was good enough.

I hate Crystal Light but I'm sure I can figure out some LC concoction. We are in a timeshare also so the blender will be handy.

Is it the aspertame you dislike? How about using unsweetened Kool Aid in a fruity flavor and sweeten it yourself with Stevia or Splenda, that might be better for you.

Yeah, I don't like aspartame. KoolAid might work. Also, one of my favorite drinks is rum and Ruby Red, which they now make in a version sweetened with Splenda. There are still carbs in it from the fruit but at least no added sugars.

I have made a lo-carb drink to satisfy my Bailey's craving. I use 1 finger of vodka, a splash of light rum...fill up the glass with coconut milk, add 3 Splenda and some freshly grated nutmeg, serve over ice. I guess it is really more like an icy "egg nog" without the eggs...It is tremendously good, and satisfying. If I was more industrious, I would freeze some leftover coffee into cubes and pour it over that! Hope this sounds good to someone else!

Michelob Ultra--Amber is more carbs but better tasting i think. Rum and diet coke with fresh lime twists.
