How to recover after a carb-fest?

Hey y'all,

After too many carbs and too many calories, what is the best way to handle the next day? Does fasting (detoxing) help, or make things worse?

I feel like I need to fast to clean out my body from the overload, but as a diabetic, fasting is tricky.

Any suggestions for healing after a binge?

Thanks!

As a diabetic a would not suggest a fast of any kind.

What has always worked for me is to 'de-tox' on protein.
I get myself the steak that I love the best. Great fresh salad
greens and your favorite dressing, some olives,&avocado. That's dinner.
Breakfast I use ground beef patties, another thing is eggs done
in butter. Cheese burgers. Drink lots and lots of liquid. Do not
exceed 20 grams carb. In a few days you will be back to normal
low carb experience.

Your appetite will be diminished as well.
