Anyone got a good suggestion on how to shape Hambuger buns and rolls(Kevins)

Hi all!!
My husband is wanting regular whole wheat buns for something we are making this weekend. I will use Cleo's Oopsie rolls for mine but would love to try to make Kevin's Whole Wheat Bread into Hamburger buns for DH. I have not made any Hamburger buns before! Can any of you give me a EASY and QUICK lessons on how to make the perfect Hamburger buns by hand..Rolls too if you all dont mind. I want those for Easter.

Thanks everyone and HUGS
Christina

No, I started to give a description of how I form the bun but realized that I needed a visual aid to describe it right. I had my DW take pictures one day while I was doing it but was unsuccessful in displaying the technique.

i bought two muffin top pans from bed bath and beyond and they work out great. after you make the dough, shape pieces into balls and kinda flatten them down in the muffin pans. cover w/saran wrap. they will raise up quite nicely. do not raise the dough in another bowl and then attempt to smash it down and roll into buns. this dough is only good for one raise. the best thing about the muffin top pans is the dough makes a rim as it cooks, that's where you can slice them in half and enjoy! if you can't find the pans, just roll pieces the same way, place on a cookie sheet, let raise and bake....

Some people use the individual pans like the kind wilton makes in 3" or 4" size. I'm not sure where to get them though.

Nigel, Cleo just posted a pic for me this morning on another thread of those Wilton individual cake pans. She said she found hers at Target. I can't wait to get those, and now a muffin top pan at Bed, Bath and Beyond!

You can also get them at Kroger and Meijers if you have either of those in your area
