I put pepperoni and cheddar cheese on top of mine and broiled. I could have eaten it without the toppings. Dedicated, you are right it is inexpensive, the eggs, cauliflower and sometime the cheese is cheap. This can make the Cheap Low Carb list.

Question: Can I make the crust ahead of time..like now...and then put it in the fridge until dinner time? That way "their" pizza and my pizza will be done at the same time? Or, does it need to be broiled right away?

Toni-- absolutely! You can make the crust ahead of time, bake it, then put toppings on later.

I'm going to make the lasagna recipe now, but I wanted to say two things:

1. The pizza the next day? Tastes just like Papa Murphy's Take and Bake, and STILL holds up in my hand. Not soggy. Perfect and delicious, even cold! I feel like I have restaurant pizza!

2. The lasagna the next day?! OMG. That's all I can say. And cold, too.

BB with the lasagna recipe soon. I made it last night but want to be able to ensure a good turnout again before letting you guys have it~!

I gotta tell ya.. I HATE cooked cauliflower, but if you say it doesn't taste like cauliflower, I'll give it a shot! Got some frozen at the store today (Kroger had it in their 10 for $10 sale) so I think I'll make some pizza tomorrow! YUM... thanks!!!!

Ok, so I have my crust done. It looks yummy - a bit golden brown on the top, but not too brown. I let it rest for a second, though when I started trying to free it from the pan, I noticed it is still more "wet" towards the center (underneath). Not wet, like liquid, but more like steamy wet? I don't know what the texture is supposed to be like, so I flipped it over and have it back in the oven. It was floppy, but didn't tear. ? Is this right? I spread it about pretty thin. ..about the size of a small pizzeria pizza i guess.

I wonder if your crust is too thick in the middle. It's easy to pile high in the middle and then make the edges too thin.

Try making a wider crust next time and see if it doesn't get more uniformly finished.

Learned a valuable lesson today Make sure you really grease the pan first! I used olive oil b/c I was out of spray...it didn't work. the crust was stuck to the pan...What I scraped off was very good!...

Will try again another day!

If it's edible, you were a success! I have found that spray really helps! Kudos to you for trying olive oil!

Just wanted to update on my overindulgence of the pizza at lunch today. I ate at 12:30 and still was not hungry at dinner time. I normally have a snack in the afternoon then a pretty good size dinner at about 6ish, but not today! I finally just now ate a 4oz piece of steak I had left over from yesterday but thats it! So not only is the pizza wonderful tasting, it's also very filling and sticks with ya!

Sad Story

I'm sad. I made the cauli-pizza tonight and both of my DS's balked at it.

Excuse me?!?!? You LOVE pizza!! What do you think this is, a restaurant??!?

Grrrr. . . They both ended up with sammiches, the little beggars!

My non-LC DH, however, polished off all that was left of the TWO pizzas I made. Went like this:

"Hmmm, did you make the crust?"

"Yeah" *waiting for the other shoe to drop; you know, the one where he asks what I made it from*

"It's good" *walking off with a plate piled high w/ the rest of the 'za*

He even went so far as to ask me if the other 3 mini cauli-pizza shells I made (I had enough to make a few minis, so I baked them and will put 'em in the fridge for later in the week) were for me! As if I would give him my extras!! As if!!!

Oh well. . .I will make these again. Probably make 'em into minis on weekends and stick 'em in the fridge to have during the week. MAYbe I'll even let DH in on them again. But he's gettin' his own minis, that way he knows when he runs out, he's done!! Mitts off'a MY minis, Bucko!!!!

Thanks for the recipe, Cleo!

Andrea =)

Oh. My. This was the best LC pizza I've had. Ever. I've never been happy with the bread-type LC crusts. (Haven't tried the Oopsie roll pizza crust yet tho) Hubby liked it...but he said he could taste the cauliflower. I couldn't taste it at all...Can't wait to try the bread sticks later this week.

I fixed this for dinner today. Excellent! The mozzarella really masked the taste of the cauliflower, not that I don't love cauliflower...

I did not use a sauce as I am trying to stay away from tomatoes, I just used mushrooms, pepperoni and sliced green olives and sprinkled a few more strands of mozzarella over before I broiled it.

And it is really filling!

I waited to see if I would have stomach upset from it but no signs of any.

Thank you, Cleo!

Cleo---I made this last night for dinner.. SOOOO good! I bought the last two bags of frozen GV cauliflower at the Arapahoe/Lima WM.

As soon as I get more cheese I'm going to try to make breakfast pizza! (with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, onions and peppers). Yum.
