Difference between Splenda and Sweet and Low

Hi all,

I notice that when people talk about lc recipes and treats that they make, they talk about using Splenda. I have used Sweet and Low for years and like the taste of it. Is there a lc reason for going with Splenda vs. Sweet and Low or just what is the deal. Thanks in advance.

I think the idea is that since Splenda is made from sugar and only contains Maltodextrin as a filler, that it is preferably safer in the long run than sweetners that have to carry warning label about how many lab rats they've killed.
