Blueberry pie thickener

Hi everyone. I love pie filling. What could I use instead of cornstarch or arrowroot powder to thicken blueberries for pie filling?

Thicken Thin Not/Starch or Not/Sugar would be my first choices, but chances are you won't be able to find them locally, so then I'd go with Tater's choice which can probably be found under the Bob's Red Mills brand in a healthfood store, healthfood section of your grocery market, or someplace like Whole Foods.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try xanthum gum. I don't have a recipe. It's something I want to make. I Googgled blueberry pie filling and came up with some possibilities. If anyone has a tried-and-true recipe I loved to see it.

Too much xanthum gum gives food a funny taste in my opinion. The not/sugar is a mixture of gums, and works a lot better, taste wise, for some reason. I was wondering if it would be better to do a mixture of a little xanthum gum, and gelatin. I saw a blueberry pie recipe with 4 tablespoons of lemon flavored gelatin added to it (along with 2 tbsp. cornstarch). Or maybe you could just add a little plain gelatin, and lemon juice. That's what I would do if I didn't have not/sugar.
