We now prefer the sourdough recipe I've posted (chapters 3 and 4) for buns, but if you want something really quick, there is a biscuit/bun recipe that Shawneesioux tweaked a while back that had been based on a recipe called "Haley's Nana's Biscuits". I used it in muffin top muffins and we enjoyed the results. Sorry I don't have this link handy.

I've made hamburger buns using the recipe from Kevin's simple white bread thread. Turned out very good. The ones I normally make (my own recipe) are a little softer on top but I think that's because I use Hood milk (no water) and butter for the fat instead of oil. Mine is based on weight, not volume so I'm not posting it (but I have before). I don't think you'll be disappointed with Kevin's though. I made 6 buns using the recipe (I think he made 8) but it made nice large buns.

Thanks for the tip Jackie. Since I already use butter in the carbalose #4 recipe I decided to try your suggestion of all Hood milk (no water) for dinner tonight. I will post my results in the white bread thread.

I made them last night with the white bread recipe use all lc milk instead of water, came out really good.... nice to have a real hamburger.... I could only eat 1/2 of one, was very filling.... Dh develop couldn't get enough to eat last night after eating just one of the buns.... do you think it was because of the bun? I am not really sure, but we are going to put the rest in the freezer and eat them again in the near future.
