high fiber, low carb?

I was recently hospitalized for anemia and the doctor has me on 325 mg of ferrous sulfate daily, which is murder on my system. I read that high fiber foods will help, but I don't know what foods are high fiber yet not too high in carbs. Can anyone help me out? THank you!

WOE: My way low carb!

I eat the flax-o-meal cereal and love it. It's very high fiber and low carb and I would think would be easy on the system.

I've been eating for awhile and don't gain and I add a little cream, butter and salt. Take a look at Netrition or any low-carb store. This would be nice on the tummy!

Feel better.

Yep, I'm on the iron too. Don't forget to get PLENTY of water as you take extra fiber!

I eat 1/2 cup of Fiber One cereal with 1/2 cup plain yogurt every morning. The cereal is 25g carb total with 14g of fiber (> 1/2 minimum daily fiber requirement). Everyone is right, remember the H20!

Another vote for the Fiber One. I was really having....umm......troubles with my WOE and "regularity" even though I was taking psyllium. The Fiber One in the yogurt did the trick and it really hasn't slowed my weight loss.

And drink water!
