Dijon Mustard ?

I am noticing a lot of recipes call for this.
Do many of you use it?
What brand have you found to be lowest in carbs?

-Thanks

I use every thing from grey pupon to the generic brands. I have not found any difference in the carbs. I use it in lots of recipes. It all is a matter of personal taste.

I like dijon mustard on hb eggs and beef, and actually haven't ever found a dijon mustard that does have carbs.

On my spicy deli mustard it says on tbl. 0 carbs. I never use too much anyway. But I do take a bit of mustard and a bit of cream w/a little white pepper and nuke it for a creamy sauce for my beef! yum!

I haven't noticed any difference in the carbs between brands, but I prefer the French's brand for overall taste. It's also one of the least expensive.

I like Grey Poupon best for flavor but I often buy French's because it's cheaper. I do not like the Walmart store brand and I normally do buy the store brand of most everything. I don't think there's any diff in carbs in dijon mustards though I always check labels for sugars.

Turnips Baked in Dijon Mustard

I found this recipe I thought I would share. It was the first time I have tried turnips and they were delicious!

Jean

Turnips Baked in Dijon Mustard

4 or 5 small to medium turnips peeled and sliced (about ˝ inch thick)
1/4 cup softened butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Cracked Black Pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and slice turnips in half. Mix mustard and butter, spread on turnips. Place turnips in shallow baking dish and sprinkle with black pepper. Bake until tender.

I use it often in recipes. My fave brand is Sierra Nevada (the beer company!) but I can only find it in Central and Northern CA. I usually just buy the Trader Joe's brand. When I go home to visit, I stock up on the Sierra Nevada!

I must be a snob...I adore Grey Poupon. I like the country style best (medium grainy) but like the other types too.
