Easy Crock Pot Glazed Chicken Wings

I took these to our Church Pot Luck and everyone loved them. They are a keeper in our home. From my recipe book by Dana Carpendar

Glazed Chicken Wings
3 lbs of chicken drummettes
1/2 cup sugar free imitation honey
1/2 cup Splenda(12 grams) I used liquid Splenda
1/2 c soy sauce
2 TBS Oil
2 garlic cloves minced
2 TBS LC Ketchup Heintz or any other

Season the drummetes with salt and pepper (I browned mine in skillet first)
abd put them in the Crock Pot.(Slow Cooker)
In a bowl, stir together the honey, Splenda, soy sauce, oil, garlic, and ketchup. Drizzle the mixture over the drummettes and stir to coat them. Cover the crock {ot (Sloe Cooker), set it to low, and let it cook for 6-8 hrs.
Yield 8 serv. each wtih 10 g fat,10 gm protein, 2gm carb, trace fiber, 2gm useable carbs.
(Counts do not include the polyols in the imitation hoeny.)

I think ther sauce would be good on any type of meat especially ribs.

I have 2 questions.
What do the drummettes look like? Are they wings ? Legs? Nothing in my supermarket says drummettes so I bought legs.
Also, I've never heard of the imitation honey before .... do health food stores carry it? I haven't looked at netition yet. TIA
Anne

Chicken drummettes are chicken wings with the tips cut off.I bought mine at WalMArt in a 4lb bag for 8.00 and something?
The SF Imitation Honey, I used SF Imitation Wannabee Honey. Do a web search for sugar free Imittion Honey, and I am sure you will find it. I am not allowed to give a web page. Sorry I am sure any piece of chicken would be fine, or even another type of meat.Hope this helps

Thanks for the YUM Recipe! Bet Pork would be happy in that sauce mixture too...

Thanks for the heads-up on Target as a possible source..Gotta ask, will you be adding lime juice ? ( you have influenced me, I am using a lot more of it..)...Nah, that would make it like Sweet'n'Sour...

However, a LIME Dip for them is a whole 'nother idea...

Thanks for the info! I'm going to try Target but I'm doubtful the Target here will have anything like that. I really want to try this recipe ... it sounds great!

Our Walmart carries the sugar-free honey, it's the only place I have found it. It's right by the regular honey - our store has carried it for quite some time now. *▄*

I looked at your recipes and they look soooo good. But you haven't included any carb counts? Will you be doing tihs in the future? I would love to try some of them but I need the nutrition on recipes before I will use them
Thanks

Berta48 I have looked everywhere here for sf. honey and could not find it. But I have not tried Target. Even had friends look at me like I was crazy like how do they made sugar free honey.

I love the sf honey, found it at Walmart's. It says it has sugar alcohols in it. Anyone have any trouble with it?
