Sugar free lollipops?

Does anyone have a recipe for sugar free lollipops? My son likes the occasional sucker, but I don't like the idea of giving him something that has sugar listed at the first ingredient.

Thanks!

I wouldn't give sugar alcohols to children and sugar free hard candy always has sugar alcohols in it as far as I know.

I know. I was thinking along the lines of Splenda. I'm looking for something I can make myself.

Splenda won't crystallize like sugar and some of the sugar alcohols, so I don't think you could make sucker using only Splenda as a sweetener, unfortunately....

Hmmm, I didn't consider that. Maybe I'll just have to do a chocolate "sucker"

"50% LESS CALORIES THAN SUGAR LOLLIPOPS! Sorbee sugar free pops contain 35 calories per 18 gram serving compared to 70 calories per 18 gram serving contained in sugar pops."

Sorbee are definitely sugar alcohol based.

Your son may be able to tolerate SAs. I would give him a tiny bit at a time, though, to see if it causes any problems. Lorann sells a lollipop mix that's isomalt based.
