.......

I normally run away (fast) from recipes with peanut butter.....I have absolutely no control with the stuff. BUT!!!! Since it's the holiday, I think I may splurge and treat myself just this once. Besides, I found a great source of bulk organic PB and I can buy just the exact amount I need.

Glad you bumped this Char and thanks too, for inventing it in the first place.

LOL Sue! This dessert was partly responsible for me gaining 12 pounds a few years back!

I now only make it when there are plenty of people around to help eat it UP and get it OUT of my house! Hope you like it.

Thanks for the warning Char!! Fortunately, I'm having a house full and they all love PB, so I'll have to hide a piece for myself. I'm sure it'll be outta here in no time. Can't hardly wait to try it!! PB + cream cheese =

Sounds wonderful, and I see you posted it a few years ago, but where did you get white chocolate chips? Are they still offered somewhere or did you make your own? And if you made your own, can you share that recipe? Thanks!

I bought them from the Sugarless Shop, I think. Not sure if they still have them or not. No, I've never made my own, although I OWN cocoa butter and probably COULD make them!

Just now did a search for LC white chocolate chip recipes. Found one that also uses that powdered coconut that I bought for no reason whatsoever, but looked useful. And in turn, found a new (to me anyway) LC blog! Also they referenced a cheaper place to purchase coco butter. Your recipe sounds devine!!!

Made this for the first time last night. I used sf chocolate chips (didn't have any other sf chocolate) and DaVinci's Kahlua syrup (because I didn't have the peanut butter flavor). It's been in the fridge all night. Can't wait to try it after tonight's dinner!

Looking forward to a report, Linny!

Kahlua and chocolate? How could it be BAD?!

It was great, Charski! Definitely rich and dense, just like you stated. Very satisfying, especially with a glass of fruity malbec.

Just wondering, what kind of peanut butter do you like to use for this? I used Crazy Richard's, which is unsweetened, all natural.

I like a natural one myself, Linny - peanuts and salt, that's all I want to see listed on the ingredients!

I'm glad you liked it so much. I haven't made a cheesecake in a while, may have to consider it for our next family gathering!

Charski, could you make another cheesecake and put up some new pictures?

I just hate when the pictures are gone.

NO problem, Dr. J - ran right to the kitchen and made this one for you!

Nah, it's the slice of the original one that I photographed. I pruned some of my PictureTrail albums so it's gone from there, but uploaded it directly here so it won't disappear again.

Here's the slice - this one I made with the white choc chunks so they don't show up much in the picture - if you make it with dark chunks there is more contrast!

That's much better. Thank you.

I think it may need a chocolate ganache...or maybe a chocolate swirl...or a salty pretzel type crust....or maybe just a drizzle of SF honey.

I'm thinking salty brown butter crust and served with honey.

LOL! It's pretty rich. I think we put a squirt of SF whipped cream on it and that was all it needed. But hey - knock yourself out, girlfriend, and let us know how it turns out!
