Kahlua

I just made the "Kahlua" for the Pig Roast.
We've used this recipe several times, and it's always good.
Just hope my boyfriend doesn't think it's something rotted
in a bottle (black, liquid-y), and throw it out (he did this to
my well-aged Kahlua last year!!) before we start packing
up the car to go. I like to let it age at least a month, and
longer is even better. It's a little less than 3 months now,
till the Pig Roast.

(This recipe is doubled, and I may still add another single
batch to the mix. The counts include only the coffee
crystals and the vodka.)

Have you ever tried mixing the Davinci Kahlua syrup with vodka?

I have been doing this recipe since long before Davinci made that flavor, so no,
I haven't. HOWEVER, when I ran out of vanilla syrup this afternoon, I finished
filling the measuring cup with the kahlua syrup. LOL then I lost the cap for the
bottle (still haven't found the dang thing!) so I just dumped in the 2 or 3 Tbsps
that were still left in the bottle. I told my boyfriend "I bet this is the best batch
yet, and I'll never be able to duplicate it!"

That's funny! I most always cook without recipes or tweak things based on what I have on hand. My husband always says "I hope you wrote down how you did this so we can have it again." Of course, I never write it down!!!

LOL NotoSugar...I could have written those exact words..cause when I'm "experimenting", I don't wanna "jinx" my efforts..or waste my time by writing things down ..
I'm sure that one of these days, I'll discover that DH has found yet another use for Duct Tape: attaching ink pens to the handles of my spatulas!

Thanks for the recipe, Pami --- Sounds YUM!

what do you do with it now that you have it done

Do you just drink with some cream? Club and cream? It sounds really good and like it would be nice to have on hand for dinner parties and stuff. How long will it keep? Lots of questions sorry.
