Carb quik substitute?

I do not have any carbquik and am making sausage cheese balls for a Thanksgiving thing tomorrow. Is there ANYTHING I can get at a grocery store or somewhere tonight to subsitute for Bisquick? I fear not

I found this on another board. Hope it helps.

5 c almond flour
2/3 c whey protein isolate
3 Tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
2 Tbsp splenda, granular
2 tsp salt
1 c lard (if you watch your transfats use butter)

Mix all dry ingredients together. Sift them if you have one. If not, just mix up well with a wire whisk. It does the same thing. Break in lard (or butter) until it looks like coarse meal. Store in airtight container. I keep mine in the freezer.

Lard DOES NOT have transfats

What are Trans Fatty Acids?

They are man-made or processed fats, which are made from a liquid oil. When you add hydrogen to liquid vegetable oil and then add pressure, the result is a stiffer fat, like the fat found in a can of Crisco. Trans fats are also called hydrogenated fats.

Just don't want anyone to think they have to throw away their lard!

This is really helpful as I avoid wheat. Is there anything else I'd have to add when using this to sub for Carbquik in a recipe?

What about if using this in place of regular flour?
