Does almond flour go bad ?
I have two bags in my fridge from a while ago. I checked them out, not wanting to be wasteful ( been over a yr since they were bought at least ) and there is no expiration date. Think it is still edible ?

The oils can go rancid. Do they smell ok? If you've been keeping them in the fridge, they'll probably last a while (it is the very definition of a cool dark place :) )

Discard any with a rancid or "off" smell.

Well I havent opened the bags, there are 2. I will check when I get ready to use it for something, as not to keep it open unecessasarily.

Thanks !

Kept in the freezer, they should keep quite a while - the fridge, I'm not sure. Like Hello said they can go rancid. Just check the smell or taste - you'll know.

If they arent rancid at this time, would it be ok to stick them into the freezer instead ? They been in a the fridge a longgggggggggggg time :P

I store mine in the freezer since I don't use it much. It's probably best to put it in the freezer at this point and hope it's okay when you decide to use it.

I just pulled some almond flour out of the freezer and I cannot even remember when I bought it. Had to be at least 1.5 years ago because it's a brand I can no longer get but it was my favorite. Anyway, it's still very good. Made a little microwave chocolate cake :)

If it's sealed from the factory still, I'm sure it's fine if it's been in the fridge. However, I don't think any harm would be done by sticking it in the freezer at this point if you don't plan to use it right away.

I used some to make low-carb granola that was a year and a half old and un-opened, but kept in the cuboard and it made me sick with-in the hour:sad:
