Ice cream/Magic Bullet

Hello,
I was wanting to purchase a magic bullet and was wondering if you can get the same effect as if using a food processor when making Linda's ice creams. Does anyone have a magic bullet and tried making homemade icecream? I don't have a food processor. Just wondering if I would get the same effect using the bullet as I would a processor?...
Many thanks!!

I have a Magic Bullet and have no problems with blending fully frozen ice cubes of Hood's milk, cream or frozen strawberry puree with just a splash (1/4 cup) of liquid to about 4-5 cubes.

I haven't tried Linda Sue's ice creams yet, but am sure that it would work fine. Perhaps it may need a "martini" shake, becasue of the shape of blender...

I'll try tonight, since I have already frozen the recipe in anticipation...

I own a magic bullet and love making whipped cream and sorbets. I'm sure ice cream might work also.

It worked just fine! I put about 4 cubes in the tall cup and let them thaw for about 35-45 minutes.

When I started to grind them, I did have to do the "martini shake".

Great recipe!

--I've tried this with frozen chocolate hood's milk, but had to add a splash of cream to get it creamy.

Did the one at Walgreen's come with the blender/juicer attachment and the mugs?

I want to buy a "back up" one...

Acually, I haven't bought it yet, I just called the store. No, it doesn't have the bonus extras. I am also wanting the blender/juicer with the magic bullet. I think I am going to look online first before I go and buy from Walgreens. DeeLen said that she saw an infomercial that was offering 2 magic bullets along w/the blender/juicer for the price of one... I am going to try to find that infomercial on Sat. morning...lol
I may also try ebay and see what they have. I am a bargain hunter and I will hunt for the cheapest one!! LOL

I've been looking around for awhile and saw that on the infomercial too (you can find it online also). The problem is that you pay double the shipping - so it works out to somewhere around 70 for each package. Ebay can also be up there because they also charge quite a bit for shipping.

I've seen it at Target for 59 (in the store so no shipping) so I keep saying I'm going to buy it there.

the blender and juicer attachment is supposedly crap, several people commented on it not working properly, I too have the magic bullet,, I paid 50 for it at bjs and it came with the beverage cups. We use the bullet all the time.
