Hellman's Mayo with Canola Oil

I just clipped a coupon for this new product and was wondering if anyone else has seen it or tried it yet?

Not in my store yet, but coming soon, so I am told!!

I just bought my second jar on Saturday. I can't tell the difference in taste or texture from the original.

It shouldn't taste any different than the original. They only changed the soybean oil to canola oil. Here are the ingredient lists from both kinds:

Original:
INGREDIENTS: SOYBEAN OIL, WATER, WHOLE EGGS AND EGG YOLKS, VINEGAR, SALT, SUGAR, LEMON JUICE, NATURAL FLAVORS, CALCIUM DISODIUM EDTA (USED TO PROTECT QUALITY).

Canola:
INGREDIENTS: CANOLA OIL, WATER, WHOLE EGGS AND EGG YOLKS, VINEGAR, SALT, SUGAR, LEMON JUICE, NATURAL FLAVORS, CALCIUM DISODIUM EDTA (USED TO PROTECT QUALITY).

From what I've been reading lately on the Weston Price website, and various coconut oil sites, neither soybean or canola are healthy oils. We should be using butter, olive oil, and naturally saturated fats like coconut oil or lard. It can all be so confusing!

Oh, yuck, really? I hope this doesn't mean they're phasing out the soybean one. I hate the taste of canola oil. I had that Trader Joe's mayo and it repeated on me for the rest of the day. Icky.

It's not too hard to make mayo; too bad it doesn't keep for very long.

I love it!!
It doesn't taste any different than the regular mayo. I thought that the canola is better that soybean oil - says something about containing omega 6 & Omega 3 oils - good stuff, eh?

I bought a jar of this - and I like it a lot. Soybean Oil and Canola oil both have faint tastes... Well, actually, canola is tasteless for me unless it is heated too high, and I guess hellman's doesn't do that when making the mayo. The soybean versian has a faint fishy taste when tasted right next to the canola version.

I, too, like the Canola Oil Mayo. Seems to taste the same as the older version.

I bought the Canola Oil Mayo and I like it but I prefer the regular Hellman's. I do think it has a slightly different taste but cannot say what it tastes like. My 7 yr old DD loves mayo but does not like this one. She would not eat the egg salad or tuna salad I made with it. Same recipes I always use but she said they both tasted funny.
