I LOVE the Aunt Jemima--great taste, consistency, no maltitol or sorbitol, but it can be VERY hard to find. I only find it at Meijer.

Joseph's is the best consistency and taste but more than a couple of tablespoons and my tummy makes distressed noises for hours! Luckily it doesn't do any MORE than that to me unless I really overdo it.

So what I did last time was buy a bottle of Cary's SF and mix it half and half. That worked well!

I also like the DaVinci Pancake syrup, although I know some don't - it does have a different flavor note to it.

And for syrups that are too thin - use 1/2 cup syrup and 1/2 tsp. Thicken Thin Not/Starch - whisk it in real well, then heat in the microwave until thickened. Works really well for other flavors too, the DV huckleberry is very good thickened and used on LC pancakes, waffles, cheesecake - pineapple DV too!

Being from Vermont, it is hard to find a replacement for SF Maple Syrup. I am use to the real thing. I will try to find Mrs. Buttersworth, sounds like it might be a good replacement. I hope. I really miss my Vermont Maple Syrup

The two we love (I think are the same brand) - Sugar Free Vermont Maple syrup and Cozy Cottage Maple syrup. So good I've never tried anything else.

Steele's Country Syrup is my favourite. It's really thick and has a great maple flavour. I'm very sensitive to maltitol in most things, but this syrup doesn't seem to bother me in the slightest.

Spring Tree. This was recommended on another site so it's the only one I've tried and I've been happy with it

I vote Walden Farms. It's great and no SAs.

If you can find Cozy Cottage Maple syrup you won't be disappointed. Try it with the firmer Revolution rolls buttered on both sides and browned in a skillet and I swear you won't be able to tell it from French Toast. Delicious.

Charski, that is a great idea. I've been mixing it into my hubby's & kids oatmeal, but thickening it up would mean all sorts of new treats. I like the flavor, and also that they use REAL maple flavor. If there's anything I can't stand, it's fake maple flavor.

I'd like to try the Mrs Butterworths. Do they use real maple flavor?

I found it today at Albertsons, but darn it, it has sorbitol in it, I bought it anyways to try. I love love love Josephs the best of all of them.

I sure wish I could find the Aunt Jemima sugar free without the SA. They did have Aunt Jemima lite at the store, but way too many carbs.

Does the Walden Farms kind beat the Vermont brand in terms of taste? I like Vermont 'cause it's pretty low in carbs and you can get it locally, but maybe the WF tastes better?

I really like the Maple Grove Farms kind.

I got it at the Wal Mart Supercenter and it's great!

Even my non LC'ing husband likes it. We love it with CarolynF's LC pancakes!
