how long will sauerkraut last in the fridge?

I bought home some sauerkraut from a restaurant today that was left over from my lunch (polish sausage and saukerkraut).

Do you think it will last until Monday evening? I'd like to have it Monday for dinner with a pork chop

I'd pop it in the freezer, and thaw it while your cooking your pork chops. If it were in the brine, it would last indefinitely, but dry, it would only be good for a day or two.

Duh, why didn't I think of that? Of course, I'll put it in the freezer.

Thanks

speaking of Sauerkraut. I mad a great and easy meal the other night. Just plop country style pork ribs in the slow cooker, add a couple bottles of suuerkraut, put about 12 drops of liquid splenda on top of sourkraut, and cook all day. It was tender and sour and sweet. Just great. Julie

Sauerkraut will last almost forever... Anything pickled has an incredibly long shelf/fridge life. I've kept opened cans of kraut in the fridge for over a month and they have still been fine.
