Egg-Free Breakfast Suggestions

Any suggestions on an egg-free breakfast? I very rarely eat eggs, because they usually make me feel sick. I can eat boiled eggs (deviled)....Sometimes I'll bake a quiche, but will feel sick if I use too many eggs...Or I'll have to load it down with cheese, so I can hardly taste the egg... Any suggestions on an egg free breakfast? I'm in phase II by the way. I eat a lot of sausage...I don't like bacon either I sometimes eat LC yogurt (Blue Bunny)..sometimes cheese sticks. This is the only meal that I am struggling with. Lately, I've just had LC slim fast shake (2 carbs)..sweetened with Splenda...yummy by the way

Think outside "breakfast" foods. How about leftovers? Like chicken salad or cold cut roll ups. The recipe board has tons of suggestions.

Try making a breakfast porridge - it does have an egg in it, but you cannot taste it. It is so delicious....

1/3 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg
2-3 T heavy cream
2-3 T DaVinci syrup or 1 packet of Splenda

Mix all together until thoroughly blended. Nuke for 2 minutes. I then stir in about 2 T of flax meal to add wonderful texture and fiber. Yum!

How about flaxmeal bread or muffins? You can find the recipe on the recipe board of this site.

The breakfast porridge sounds good but how about plain ricotta with splenda, some cinnamon, and vanilla ext, mixed in with some strawberries and/or ground flax on top. You can do the same thing with cottage cheese. You can also mix it up and try putting in different things, such as peanut butter, sf syrups, nuts, unsweetened cocoa, nutmeg, pumpkin spice, you can also make it savory by chopping up some red or green pepper.

Also you can make pancakes also with ricotta. 4 eggs, 4 tbls ricotta, tsp cinammon, TBLS vanilla extract, splenda to taste. Blend them in a blender then pour onto hot pan just like pancakes. I am sure you can also use cottage cheese for this as well.

Also I have read people microwave some ground flaxseed with cream and sf sweetner and eat it like porridge, would def be a good one!

How about melted cheese on top of sliced meat? Also melted cheese on some veggies?

Some peanut butter with celery or other vegetable?

Hope these suggestions help!

Hot dogs make a grab-n-go breakfast. I hate hot dogs, but they do have their uses. You have to read the labels. I found "lite" hot dogs had fewer carbs than "regular" but that depends on brand. I admit I rarely eat these things, but maybe once a year (maybe twice) I buy them and enjoy them.
Read up on making LC crepes and freezing them. You can take one out (if you freeze with wax paper between) and fill with sour cream and strawberries, or whatever. Eggs, yes, but way covered up by the other stuff.
I like cottage cheese or ricotta heated up, sweetened with LC syrup, and scooped with spoon or pork rinds. But for cottage cheese, I have to drain it first. Too watery for my taste.
If you have a dehydrator, dry making yogurt leather (like fruit roll-ups but made of yogurt). Sweeten and flavor to taste before drying.
One odd thing I like for breakfast is chicken broth with shredded cabbage. On cold mornings that is hot, filling, low-carb, low-cal, etc.
Please ignore my stats. I have been gaining weight steadily since moving to Iowa. No jobs, no exercise. Just mice in my ceiling

Thanks for all of the suggestions. They sound great. I started eating LC a few years ago, lost 18 pounds and then started eating carbs again. Why? I don't know This WOE is so rewarding. This time around, so far, I've lost 20 pounds and I refuse to eat any other way.....I am trying lots of new recipes because I don't want to get bored. I have lots more weight to lose...trying to set short term goals so I don't get discouraged. Well, thanks for the ideas. I will try them out!

The flax bread or muffins are really good with butter, cream cheese, SF fruit spread or slice and make into french toast.

My favorite breakfasts are left overs.

I also like pumpkin bake, LC cheesecake, and LC custard and greek yoghurt.

Try this:

Breakfast ideas instead of bacon/eggs?

If that doesn't work, it's in the stickies at the top of this board.

I liked eggs when I started this woe but got tired of them .something I try that is quick and fast is I fry about 4 breakfast link sausages wrap them around a low carb tortilla and add a slice of american cheese, believe me it is so good . I also drink a cup of decaf coffee with splenda and non-dairy creamer with this.

BettyR has the BEST waffle recipe ever! If she isn't around I'll dig it up later and post it. You'd never know they weren't "real" waffles - DH and I were both thoroughly impressed.
