Pork Chops Paprikash
Something new to do with pork chops.
Josie's Pork Chops Paprikash
2 teaspoons butter
1 small onion, very thinly sliced
1 1/4 teaspoons paprika, divided
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt...or to taste
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 bone-in center cut pork chops about 1/2 inch thick
1/2+ cup well drained saurkraut
1/2 cup sour cream
Melt butter in large skillet over medium high heat.
Separate onion slices and cook until golden brown and tender.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon paprika, garlic, salt and pepper over both sides of pork chops.
Place chops on rack of broiler pan.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 5 minutes. Turn, broil 4 to 5 minutes until chops are barely pink in the center.
Combine cooked onion with saurkraut, sour cream and remaining 1/4 teaspoon paprika; mix well. Spread chops with onion mixture and return to broiler for 1 minute until bubbling hot.
Makes 4 servings of approximately 4 net carbs per serving.
