mini muffins

When baking a regular muffin recipe in a mini muffin pan, how can you determine how long to bake them (besides trial and error)?

Question: I want to bake mini muffins. How should I adjust the baking time and temperature?

Answer: The baking time will shorten to about 5 to 7 minutes. But, the temperature should remain the same 425 degrees F because you are still using the same recipe.
I found this at clabbergirl.com. Maybe it will help?

Her original recipe called for 12 minutes baking time, so approximately half the time for mini-muffins.
