Easy marinade for pork chops?

Hi...I'm looking for a simple marinade for pork chops to use before grilling them. All the recipes I find contain honey or brown sugar.

Thanx!

I make up my own marinade using ingredients that I like. One that I frequently use is garlic power, ginger powder, olive oil and a little soy sauce. I sprinkle the powders over the meat and then add the oil and soy sauce and mix it all together. If you want a sweeter marinade you can add splenda or stevia to the mix. I guess that you could call this my homemade teriyaki sauce.

I also like to use garlic powder, 5 spice seasoning ( found in the oriental section, very cinnamony), and mustard.

For a BBQ flavor, I make up a rib rub which can be used on any meat, not just ribs. It contains 4 tsp paprika, 2 tsp salt, 2 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp fresh ground pepper, and 1 tsp cayenne. When I made this, I was out of cayenne, so I used chili powder which turned out fine. Just spread evenly on meat that has been patted dry and let it sit until the rub appears moist. I keep this mix in a container, so it's ready to use when I need it.

I hope that this has given you some ideas.

Try 1/2 cup soy sauce and 3/4 cup white vinegar.
