Homemade, LC shakes/smoothies

Does anyone have any recipes for homemade, LC shakes/smoothies? I've yet to find a store-bought shake that I like.

Thanks,
txaggie

I usually take a tiny bit of whipping cream and add that to some fresh strawberries and blueberries. Add a little splendra and then add in about 2 cups of shaved ice. Blend well. Nice and yummy.

I have been making them with the following:

1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1 TBSP. heavy cream
1/2 c. frozen berries
6 0z. water
6 ice cubes
1-2 packets of splenda or DaVinci's SF syrup for sweetening
Optional: 2 tsp. psyllium husks for fiber and thickening

Just put it all in a blender!

I do similar. But I use lc yogurt (I keep some in the freezer) and lc milk with whatever berries and sf syrup I feel like. I've also used chocolate protein powder and almond sf syrup for that almond joy taste Easy to do and an endless variety of flavors.

I have made LC smoothies two different ways recently:

1 - combine several fresh strawberries, ice cubes, milk (I used carb countdown fat free) and some blueberry Davinci syrup in the blender.

2 - combine a container of LC peach yogurt (I used Blue Bunny) , ice cubes milk (ccff again) and some peach Davinci syrup in the blender.

I didnt measure any of it - just kind of eyeballed it.

Both were delicious. I think I'll have one for dinner tonight!

Strawberry Shake

8 ounces water
2 Tbsp. Strawberry DaVinci SF Syrup
½ cup Designer Whey French Vanilla Protein Powder
¼ cup Cottage Cheese
¼ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
8 or 10 ice cubes

Blueberry Shake

12 ounces water
2 Tbsp. Vanilla DaVinci SF Syrup
½ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
¼ cup Blueberries
2 Tbsp
2 scoops Protein Powder
8 or 10 ice cubes

Peanut Butter Shake

½ cup water
¼ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
2 scoops Protein Powder
1 Tbsp. Natural Peanut Butter
8 or 10 ice cubes

Vanilla Shake

12 ounces water
2 Tbsp Vanilla DaVinci SF Syrup
½ cup Cottage Cheese
2 scoops Protein Powder
8 or 10 ice cubes

Chocolate Shake

¼ cup water
¼ tsp Vanilla DaVinci SF Syrup
1 Tbsp. Cocoa
¼ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
¼ cup Egg Whites
¼ cup Cottage Cheese
1 Tbsp. Protein Powder
8 or 10 ice cubes

I recently found that Hood's Carb Countdown chocolate milk makes a great shake. For the strawberry shake use 1 cup CC milk and 1/4 cup water instead of the cup of water and 1/4 cup heavy cream and forget the DaVinci and you have a nice chocolate shake. Add a little banana extract or Banana DaVinci for a little different flavor.

I have made a smoothie type shake like this:

3-4 frozen strawberries
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup cottage cheese
Davinci SF strawberry syrup enough to sweeten (I don't measure it I just pour some in)

Blend it all in a blender. It's really good and the cottage cheese add more protein, but if you blend it really well you can't tell it's in there.
