Low carb at Wal-Mart

I've read here that some of you are finding low carb things at Wal-mart superstores. I passed one today and stopped in quick to take a look. I did see Atkins ice cream and some low carb frozen entrees. But I didn't seem to see a low carb section or area. What other things are you finding there and where would I look?

I find everything else in the Pharmacy section.
Though I haven't tried all of them, I've seen the following there:
Diabetisweet (with Diabetic supplies)
Atkins endulge candy
Atkins shake mixes
Atkins, Carbolite, & Carb Solutions shakes
low carb, protein bars (Atkins & EAS)
Carbolite & Pure Delite candy

And in the candy section: Russell Stover sf candy

Also, almond flour (ground almonds) in the small bags (about 79 cents) with the walnuts, etc. near baking chocolate, etc.

Thanks so much, Monicat! I will go back and check the pharmacy section. didn't even think to look there! It would be great to not have to order almond flour on-line!

Patt3 - Which SuperWalmart has the Chefs Choice Frozen dinners? I drove all the way out to Hutchinson once and they didn't have them. I don't know how often I would eat them, but I would like to give them a try. Thanks.

Oh, one more thing. In the pharmacy section, there is also whey and soy protein powder. My local WalMart only carries it in vanilla and chocolate flavors.

Le Carb ice cream was mentioned by someone. I also buy this at Walmart. Have tried the homemade vanilla...it was disgusting!! However the lemon (very creamy) and chocolate almond are both very good.
Walmart also carries DaVinci SF syrup (vanilla, hazlenut),
Sugar Free Tang, Splenda, Cary’s SF pancake syrup and
SF Jello cups. They also carry a lc bread. I forget who makes it.

The LC bread is Food for Life... It is very good. They also have Country Cousin cooked sausage patties. Taste just like the patties you get at McDonalds...

Wal-Mart carries the Mt. Olive sf bread and butter pickle slices (like eating candy) and the sf relish (great in your tuna salad). They are in with the regular pickles and relishes. They also carry the frozen blueberies with no sugar added.

It's so hard shopping at walmart, because there's so much stuff with some low-carb things hidden among them. I avoided the ice cream aisle like the plague! I didn't know they had low carb ice cream!

God I spend over an hour in walmart each time turning over every single package of sausage, prepared meats, etc looking for no sugar things... I'm sure there's so much more that I am just not seeing.

After 10 visits I finally saw natures own low carb bread. I was like "waaaaaaaaaa? hello, what's this and where did it come from?"

All your finds are helping me out a lot. Thanks!

Where is the LC bread located inside of your stores? I just can't seem to find it in mine.

In my Wal- Mart the reduced carbohydrate Natures Own is in the regular bread aisle, with all the other Natures Own bread on the top shelf. They also have a sugar free bread that is about 2 more carbs.

It's located on the bread isle with all the other breads. It is made by Nature's Own and says "low carb" on the package. It still has about 5 carbs per slice (it might be 3) so I don't use it very often. Just 2 slices can really up the daily carb count. It has a good flavor, though, and it's great to have a sandwich once in a while!!! I can't wait to try locarbman's bread recipe when I get all the ingredients together. I think it only has about 1 gram per slice.

when I saw the lowcarb bread they only had one loaf of it left. it might be popular and hard to keep stocked.

They usually don't have many in stock and when I see them I buy several and freeze them to use one slice at a time.
