Honey Mustard help

I love honey mustard and want to make a low carb version. I usually make my own using different types of mustard with mayo & honey. What are some ideas that I can use in place of the honey? I don't know if just using sweetener like Splenda will have the right taste. I've never tried the low carb pancake syrups, maybe that would work????

Steel's Gourmet makes a low carb honey alternative, wich I think is made from maltitol. I've only seen it online.

Here are 2 recipes I found, although I haven't tried either.

Honey Mustard dressing

1 T. Dijion Mustard
1 T. Spicey Brown Mustard
2 T. Whipping Cream
1 Packet Splenda

Makes a nice salad dressing or dipping sauce for grilled chicken!

Serves: 1
Carbs: 2
Honey Mustard dressing

1/4 cup canola oil
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp spicy brown mustard
1 Tbsp +1 tsp Splenda
1/8 tsp of salt
1/8 tsp of pepper

This one is a more tangy recipe....it makes about 6 servings-- each with ~ 1 g of carb, trace fiber and proteintard dressing

for a jar of faux honey mustard salad dressing..
we use
1/2 jar mayo reserve some to adjust your taste..
1/2 cup mustard or to your liking.. you can adjust as you go
3 TB artificial brown sugar
1 tsp almond flavoring..
6 packets of splenda sweetner..
paprika to taste
when all is blended it comes out to a whole jar of honey mustard.
its the combo of almond and brown sugar that gives it the honey taste. my inlaws ask for this treat.. use for chicken breast, salad dressing..
We usually dont measure but this is approx , so adjust to your taste as you go along.. enjoy~!

Go ahead, smile!
