Carbs in Green Chili?

Does anyone have a generic count for Carbs in Green Chili?
I couldent find it on the usda site.

If it's homemade, well, that's kinda hard to guess, as each person makes it differently. If it's from a restaurant, they will probably be using a commercial product, (and the info will be available) but if they make it up fresh, then that's just to hard to decide.

Lots of recipes for green chili do call for a thickener (starch based) and that can add lots of hidden carbs.

I use a tablespoon or two in scrambled eggs or for omelets personally, but I use my own recipe, so I kinda know how many carbs it is. I also omit any thickeners so it's a bit 'looser' than most, but the flavor really helps get those eggs down hehe..

Perhaps you can find a canned green chili or green 'salsa' that you like, and just use it in moderation.

If it's a friend or family members recipe, make them give you the recipe, and we can run a 'carb count' on it.

Hope this helps. I'm a fellow green chili lover...and I had, I mean, HAD to find a way to keep eating this, we make it at least once a week around here.
