where to buy stuff

Where do you all buy your low carb food products...like the atkins stuff? Do you have to buy it online or can you get it in a store somewhere?

You can order it online but also Wal-Mart and various health food stores are carrying Atkins and other low-carb products.

Low Carb Products

In CA I find Atkins Advantage bars at Trader Joe's (best price!) and at most health food stores. The other Atkins products (bake mixes, muffin mixes, syrups, shakes, Endulge bars & candies, snack foods) I find at health food stores but also now at Albertsons (surprise! surprise!) since those last positive news articles came out about the latest studies of the Atkins diet. Assume if the good news keeps up that these and other low-carb products will be on your local grocer's shelves soon.

Whole Foods Market has:
-black soybeans
-a LOT of Bob's Red Mill products (vital wheat gluten, flaxseed meal, xantham gum, etc.)
-TVP (TSP) in the bulk section
-blanched whole and slivered almonds in the bulk section (for almond flour)
-CarbSense products (hot cereal, pizza crust mix, etc.)
-oat flour
-some Atkins baking products (with flours) & some in the health section
>If you're not sure if you live near one, they have a website that lists store locations.

Winn Dixie and drug stores like CVS have some candy (like Carbolite). Most drug stores like CVS also have Diabetisweet.

Super WalMart:
-Davinci syrups (though just a few different ones)
-whey and soy protein powder (more expensive than over the internet) in the pharmacy section
-Diabetisweet (near diabetic aids in the pharmacy area)
-Atkins, Carbolite, and Pure DeLight stuff (in the pharmacy area)

Super KMart:
not a whole lot, but there are a few things in the pharmacy area and they have the Mt. Olive sugar free bread & butter pickles

The rest of the stuff I get is pretty much over the internet, mainly through Netrition. Their prices and shipping costs are pretty good, and they do have GREAT customer service.

I would have to ditto the great service on Netrition.com. I get my Davinci there and at Marshalls/TJMAXX.

Whole Foods is good like Monicat said, as well as Walmart for the processed stuff (Atkins, carbolite, etc.).
