Two new recipes a week - Go!
I have been doing LC for a few years, but only eating the same stuff. I am overwhelmed with all the recipes on this site. I have a goal of trying two new things/recipes a week. This week I am making the BPC and also the Floopsie to use as a bun for a hamburger!
I want to gear up for my two new things/recipes for the following week (1-26 thru 2 - 2...Sunday to Sunday)-. If you had to pick two for me, what would they be? Maybe it is not a recipe. Maybe it is a trick you have come up with. Maybe it is something you add to something. Maybe it is something you eat at night when you get hungry.
I will compile all of these and maybe they will help someone in the future.

I am making Linda Sue's Asian pork in the crock pot right now. I hope it tastes yummy! And, later this week, I am making her bulkogi recipe. Both are brand new for me. Just trying to figure out what I am going to make as the side with the asian pork, but I have a few hours before it is done ;)

I am hoping for two changes/additions a week. Trying new recipes, learning a new LC trick, alternating something I am eating, etc.
I wrote Go! on the first post. That was for me! I need to do this. I just eat the same old stuff all the time and it gets boring. Some of these recipes are mainstays for people and I want to get to that place. I was so overwhelmed at first, but I think just adding two things a week will be sustainable. Or maybe even one. I may have too lofty of a goal.
Thanks Greengeeny. I really want to try that pork in the slow cooker. Bulkogi sounds interesting. I will check that out.
What to have as a side! That is what I want to learn about too! So if I am making that pork in the slow cooker, what would be good to make to have with it. What is LC that compliments the pork.
I am hoping to get to a place where I have my favorite meals all in one place so I can refer to them and set a menu for the week. I bet a lot of people on this site have that in place. That would be my goal. To look at the list and say....Hmmmm, for Monday I will have __________.
Pan saute flattened chicken breasts (salt, pepper, garlic powder).
Once it's cooked, add some pesto and half and half(or cream) and simmer just until thickened(only takes a minute or two).
Serve over cooked spinach or zucchini, or whatever veggie you prefer:)

Wow, what a disaster...and yet a victory!
~ Heated up my coffee. Poured in into Magic Bullet.
~ Went to pour 1 T HWC in and I don't know why, but must have thought it was thicker, because I poured it right in and over the spoon. All over the counter, dripping down the counter and on the floor!
~ Then got the CI. I had to read about it two times, because I wanted to make sure it was edible! It looked like wax! Had success in putting 1 T in.
~ Put in small amount vanilla.
~ Tried to screw on top of MB, but could not figure it out (I have not used it in a long time). Finally realized it was on backwards. Because I had tried to force it on the wrong way, it was stuck. Finally was able to undo it, but it came off fast and I knocked the vanilla over on the counter.
~ I did not want to clean up anything at that point, because someone said the CI might not dissolve if the coffee was not hot.
~ Got the MB to work. Tried it and it tasted kind of blah.
~ Remembered I had not added the Stevia. Added it and stirred it in.
Wowza!!!! It tastes delicious!!!!!!!!
As I was sipping it, noticed my counter and floor. What a mess! But a "worth-it" mess. I knew it would clean up easily and my thoughts quickly turned to being thankful for this cup of BPC in my hand.
Now we'll see how long it lasts me.
Had the 4-hour omelet for breakfast and now hoping the BPC will go four hours.
What is a BPC? I've never heard of it, but anything with coffee, cream and vanilla sounds yummy!
Bullet Proof Coffee. A lot of people on this site make it. It is made in all sorts of ways. You can google it and see the original recipe.
I am so pumped about this. It held me about two hours and then I had some protein and that lasted me till dinner.
I made it with:
1 cup hot coffee
1 T. Coconut Oil (CO)
1 T. HWC (heavy whipped cream)
small amount of Vanilla
1 packet Stevia
Then I put it in my Magic Bullet and mixed it up for about 20 seconds.
It was SO tasty!
THAI chicken salad:
1.5 oz shredded,cooked chicken
French fried onion rings, 1/8 cup
Toasted Asian sesame salad dressing with one Tbsp PB mixed in
Went back for a second small serving after an hour
