I drink vinegar water as much because I like it as the benefits of the Apple Cider Vinegar. I mix about 1/4 cup of ACV in 1/2 gallon pitcher of water and drink it during the day. I usually finish off two a day, but I drink lots of water. I add a just 5-6 drops sweetzfree and it taste like juice to me.
ACV is suppose to be very good for your, it's been attributed to lowering blood pressure, regulating bgl's, and it's a good source of potassium so it helps with the leg cramps some low carbers experience.
But mostly I just like it.
I use Bragg's organic unfiltered Apple Cider vinegar that I get at the health food store not that fake stuff you get at the grocery store.

CoconutMilk--I've been drinking the apple cider vinegar water. I haven't been using sweetener, but it almost has an aftertaste of honey. Not bad at all. I'm anxious to see if it helps with leg cramps. I'm prone to them anyway, but they are worse when I do low carb.

It does cut my craves, it helps me stay full and it helps me get in my water.

Thanks! We really enjoy it here too! LOL My kids really enjoy it and I am a bit of a "cheese freak" (one of my downfalls sometimes).... I am going to try and make a version using cauliflower, I imagine it'd be a bit like potato soup/chowder.

Thanks Surfdol for answering, I tried combining a couple tsps of ACV this morning with some splenda in 1 litre of water but I'm afraid I found revolting. The benefits are too good to miss though so I'll be looking out to buy this in tablet form instead..

If your using the regular grocery store ACV it is awful, you need to get a good brand of unfiltered ACV that still has the Mother floating in it. It's a completely different animal. It doesn't taste even remotely like the grocery store junk.

Stillhatepeas- I'm glad you like it. I like it both ways, with or without the sweetener. But with it, to me it's just like a big glass of juice. I sure hope it helps with your leg cramps. I almost never get them as long as I drink my vinegar water, but let me stop drinking it and wow!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Breakfast yesterday: Sorry to say but I got busy and forgot to eat... Yikes
Lunch: Left over Beef Ragout
Dinner: Chicken Ala King over spaghetti squash... Yummmy. Will be posting recipe on my website when I get a chance.

May I join you all here. Restarted induction almost three weeks ago and doing ok but I am getting this hunger pang in my stomach in the middle afternoon and need something to hold me over until supper time. What do you suggest?
I plan to stay on induction for a few weeks like I did the first time back in 2001 and lost so much.
I am getting so tired of eggs every morning for breakfast, what are you all eating besides eggs and bacon?

I do ok for lunch, mostly a salad or left overs from the night before and supper I usually eat a meat and some vegetables.
But I have not been eating any snacks between meals, should I ?

Todays eats!
Breakfast- 2 fried eggs, three bacon strips, coffee
Lunch- toss salad with turkey and bacon bits, diet soda
Supper- baked chicken and devil eggs, and slice tomatos, iced tea

Amber how do you make the cream cheese muffin?

For breakfast I had a scramble version(didn't have time to bake a quiche) of Jenn's Bacon Maple Quiche, to die for!
Lunch was Chicken salad wrap on lc tortilla and hand full of cherry tomatoes
Dinner was left over chicken noodle soup
Snacks today were half an apple with peanut butter sauce, 1 cheese stick, and 2 iced coffees... Ok I know way to much food, but I also haven't slept a wink in over 36 hours. Gosh I hate insomnia! There are lots of hours in a day when you don't sleep.
Hope your all snoozing away,
Vikki

Hi Coconutmilk have you ever tried eating lettuce at least an hour before going to bed.. I know its sound quite absurb but when I was expecting my eldest I used to suffer with insomnia quite a lot until I read this article about the magical properties of the plain ole lettuce (of course this was way before the Low Carbing came along and could quite happily munch on lettuce sandwiches)

I've dug this link out its along the lines of the original one I read all those years ago. the other option is Melatonin in tablet form but I'm not sure if they are available in the US, I hope it helps you..

Afternoon all! Hope everyone's doing good, having a good day here so far.

Hmmmm...... I really love my eggs and bacon for breakfast, lol... have you tried making your eggs in different ways? I like mini Fritatas, see page one for my recipe (so yummy), love eggs scrambled with different ingredients and of course LC quiche is good too! Plus, you don't have to eat only breakfast foods at breakfast... you can have anything you want! lol Sometimes I will make me a big ol' greasy burger or sometimes I make ham or turkey roll-ups... breakfast doesn't have to be the same old boring thing everyday, that is probably key to keeping up with this WOE, keep changing things up.

Ok Menu:

B- 1 2oz beef stick, 2 slices of bacon
Sn- 2 oz mixed nuts
L- 2 c. country ribs & kraut (ribs were cut into bite sized pieces), 3 oz of cheddar & colby-jack cheese
D- not sure yet, something with chicken lol

Gotta run all, have an awesome day!

I eat Jack Links or Old Wisconsin or Bridgeford beef sticks. Just watch the carb counts and stay away from the "flavored" ones.... I just eat plain old beef sticks. The ones I eat each ahave 1 carb or less per stick, the Old Wisconsin, I usually have 2 (they are smaller) for the same carb count.
