You can actually have them in week 1 - but take out the salsa. you can also use different cheese maybe feta and some spinache - whatever you like in your eggs! The recipe is in the recipe thread - Crack The Fat Loss Code - Recipes |

Thanks, I'm going to try them.
I also forgot to mention that I have coffee in the morning. I use 1/2 and 1/2. The one I use has 1 carb for 2 Tablespoons. I use about 1 1/2 teaspoons per cup, 2 times a day, so that would be about 1 Tablespoon for .5 carbs, right? I also love the Orange Dream Protein Shake. Can't wait to try the Mocha Protein Shake today! I got the Jay Robb Whey Protein and it is delicious! It has 1 gram of carbs per scoop. |

Yep! I love Jay Robb's protein powder too. I got the designer whey because some other people mentioned they liked it, but it has nothing on Jay. I'm definitely going back when I run out! |

Week 9, Day 3 Carb Down
M1: Power Oatmeal, coffee w/half & half M2: Jack-n-Box Grilled Chicken salad, diet Coke, water M3: Premade shake M4: Chicken Tenders, broccoli, small salad M5: Protein shake or cottage cheese My biggest challenge is keeping fat grams down. Did Atkins for long time and fat was never limited, I'm trying to retrain my brain and read labels. I love my full fat dressing, mayo, and cheese, but I like smaller sizes better! ![]() |

Week 1 Day 3 Menu
Well, I didn't do as well yesterday again, but I am adjusting to this plan.
Meal 1 - Plain ground pork with 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites. Very lean and I drained and plodded it dry with paper towels. I have a friend who has a meat market and they grow their own animals (pork and beef and chicken all free-range no hormones no antibiotics) and butcher and sell them through their store. You can't believe how good they are. Meal 2 - Vanilla Protein Shake Meal 3 - piece of chicken. I know. It wasn't the best choice, but at the time it was my only choice. Meal 4 - some ham salad made with mayo with evoo. Again not a good choice, but on the run with American Red Cross and I got caught up and realized I hadn't eaten and was in trouble. I will do so much better tomorrow! Meal 5 - Rotisserie chicken (no carbs in rub, just salt, pepper, cayenne) with broccoli and lettuce salad with cucumbers and lime juice with evoo. Tomorrow I am back to my regular schedule and will do just fine with my 5-6 proper meals.

Thank you ALL so much for your recipes and especially the menus! This is the end of my second week. One question...is it normal to gain and loose the same 2-3 pounds? I haven't started losing any more than I originally did that first week. I think I am really carb sensitive.

Behind on my Posting
Week 1 Day 4 Menu:
Meal 1: 2 Bacon and 1 whole egg and 1 egg white (No sugar bacon) Meal 2: Vanilla Protein Shake Meal 3: Chicken salad w/evoo mayo on lettuce and cucumber salad with pinch of finely shredded cheese and lime juice Meal 4: 1 String Cheese Meal 5: Filet mignon, cabbage salad with lemon juice and sea salt, 1 cup broccoli, lettuce and cucumber salad with olive oil and lemon juice Meal 6: 1 whole egg w/ 1 egg white scrambled Week One, Day 5 Meal 1: 1 egg w/1 egg white, 2 bacon (no sugar bacon) Meal 2: Salad w/cucumber, blue cheese and steak Meal 3: Cheese (medium cheddar) Meal 4: salmon and tuna wrapped in cucumber with soy sauce and wasabi, 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup miso soup (Hope I didn't mess up with this. It was so good and only about 1 cup. They figured out it had about 4 carbs). Meal 5: 1/2 cup cottage cheese We were out at dinner time, didn't plan very well, so felt we did really well overall. Usually when we had sushi, we'd have rice and everything else, so we were really good. I'm averaging about 15 carbs a day, is that okay or does it need to really be 20? |

Thank you, Kelly. I will try the diabetic menus and see what happens. Decided not to weigh-in, but once a week. My clothes tell me I am losing inches and that's what counts!
My husband is on this with me and he has lost 13 lbs in 15 days! Men seem to lose it easier, but I am happy cooking and eating the same way together. He loves ice cream and when he does get to eat it (Carb Up Day) what is the best kind? All of you "Crackers" inspire me.... Blessings, Cindi |
