First Day Away From Home Menus!

Today was the first day I have ventured away from home since re-starting this WOE. I was really nervous that I'd break down and eat something I shouldn't, but I didn't!

Breakfast was in a hurry, because we had to catch an early ferry off the island. I was getting ready to fix the 3 minute chocolate cake (which I really didn't want to do because of the almond meal) when dh suggested I eat leftovers from yesterday. Great idea! So I had Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Bake for breakfast, and it was yummy and filling.

We ate at a buffet for lunch, and it was marvelous. I had tossed salad (fresh lettuce, not bagged!), prime rib, broccoli and cauliflower. I wasn't even tempted by the dessert bar, even when dh loaded up his plate.

Dinner was the last of the Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Bake. Dh had picked up some baked beans and weiners at the deli on the way home for himself, but I was perfectly satisfied with my leftovers. This is Day 5 with no cheats and no cravings. Yay! I feel great.

We did the shopping today for our out-of-town trip next week. I'll be busy baking and freezing stuff between now and then.

Raini, just wanting to share a triumphant moment
