What are you cooking?
I know quite a few people do big cooking on the weekends for the upcoming week. Let's share what we're making and maybe we'll get some new ideas!
I've sauteed a bag of cabbage, made a batch of revolution rolls, cooked a package of bacon. I've still got a cheesecake and a crock pot of spare ribs to make. Oh, and I'm need to boil some eggs. |

Well so far today, I've cooked up a batch of steak/veggie stir-fry. There's also a post on here for Gyro's so of course that got my taste buds all fired up. Will probably cook some bacon for BLT's and boil some eggs. Oh and I'm making some coleslaw too. I might make some meatloaf burgers also. That's about it. Great post!

I've got a 9lb pork butt on the smoker, sitting at about 162, will pull it at about 195, should be there in a couple of hours. I'll have pulled pork for the next few days.

Homemade moo-shu (sp?) chicken.
I'm sorry I don't have the exact measurements -- when I cook, I "eyeball" most things, and really just use seasonings to taste. Cut up a package of chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces; cook in a skillet. Set aside. Scramble 2 eggs, cut 'em up, set aside. Stir fry in toasted sesame oil: bag of cole-slaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots, don't use the "seasoning pack," if it comes with one) and a bag of "broccoli cole slaw" (they have this at most supermarkets -- julienned hearts of broccoli, cabbage, and carrots). I also add shitake mushrooms (LOVE THOSE). As it cooks, add soy sauce, and I also use fish sauce. Fish sauce does have sugar, I think, but I only use a little bit, and the taste is so great. (Totally optional, though...this would taste great without it, too.) Again, everything "to tase." However you like it is fine. Add the cooked chicken and egg for the last few minutes of cooking. I usually just eat it in a bowl, no "pancake" (Though I suppose you could use a LC tortilla/wrap if you want. It tastes amazing all by itself.) This is a great recipe, b/c you can add in anything you like: bean sprouts, snow peas, bamboo shoots, even toasted seseame seeds or toasted slivered almonds, for some crunch. MMmmm... The only "bad" thing for some people might be the amount of sodium/salt in this. (Mostly from the soy sauce & fish sauce.) You can make a giant batch of this, and I've found it lasts in the fridge for several days.
