Broke My Emotional Eating

So I think I officially am over my emotional eating habit. Every little thing that upset me before, would be cured by a big bowl of ice cream loaded with banana, chocolate and cherries. Well - get this - I just got the worst news that I could possibly imagine about all my hard work at school (like seriously - I've been crying for over an hour), and I haven't thought about going to get ANYTHING to eat - at all. It feels great actually - to not have food on my mind. I'm so upset that I'm actually thinking about going for another short run today. I just got out of the shower but I don't care right now. Running sounds good. Food is not even an option in my mind right now.

So I got some pretty bad news - but honestly, I'm so excited (on the inside) that I don't want to eat anything. I never thought I would EVER be able to say that.

Good for you! Sorry to hear about your bad news, but glad to hear that you're turning to exercise instead of food to deal with it!

That's so awesome.

Sorry to hear about your bad news but the wonderful feeling of finally being released from food prison sure does make up for some of it doesn't it?

I just went through the same thing with the food thing.

I'm still floating on Cloud 9 from the happiness of it all.

Im sorry to hear you got such bad news.
But you're doing so wonderful to deal with this in a non-food way. This is huge, and you should be very proud of yourself. I hope everything pans out for you soon.

I'm sorry you got upsetting news. I glad you are avoiding food. I hope I can do that too. Food used to be my crutch too and I thankfully haven't had anything to test that yet. Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear about your bad news. Those moments are never easy. I am so proud of you with the awakening that food won't make the news any less painful, but another run could make the news have less of a sting. Great Wednesday thinking! Keep it up!

Good job

Great job on breaking that addiction I personally have used food for comfort for a long time still find myself heading to the kitchen when upset or depresed but I am trying to break the habit.

I'm so sorry about the bad news, but the silver lining is that you didn't turn to ice cream !
