Grilled strip steaks for lunch: what a way to live!

((sigh)) What a day! I had eggs and ham for breakfast; grilled strip steaks for lunch, with a spinach au gratin side dish; and pizza for dinner. It is just unbelievable to me that I can eat this way and lose weight!

I love my local butcher ... those steaks were Black Angus and so thick! And the pizza was incredible: all homemade.

Just had to remark about my great eating day!

Wow that menu sounds outstanding but I have one question - pizza? Did you just eat the topping off of it? I sure could go for a pizza.....

WOW ... Cheryl, I used the white pizza recipe from the recipe section (uses CarbQuik) ... only I did not use the toppings, just the crust. To the crust I added some italian herbs, garlic powder and shredded parm cheese. I stretched the crust thin in the pan, and par baked it for 7 minutes. I topped it with Chef Boyardee pizza sauce (has lower sugar than others, and I only used half of the can). Then piled on chopped ham (leftovers), pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, some italian sausage, green peppers and loads of cheese!

The crust is dry like a cracker ... but the taste was delish and as Jeff (DH) always says: If you pile enough toppings on the crust doesn't really matter!

HA!
