Thursday's Menu 8/17/06

I LOVE Purple! Especially the purple on a Ketostix!
Okay you lurkers, let's get some action on this forum. Post your menus to keep yourself focused and help others get ideas.


Thursday's plan:
B: Egg salad on low carb bread, w/lettuce and onion
S: berry smoothie
L: Cheeseburger w/tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle, mayo, mustard
S: Nuts and cheese
D: Tropical Smoothie’s King Caesar w/lowcarb wrap

I post every morning to Fitday. So I'll try to remember copying my menu here.

B - 2 hb eggs, 4 pcs bacon (thin sliced), 3 cups coffee w/ cream/splenda

L - spinach (2 cups)/steak salad w/ cukes, cherry tom., 1 hb egg, 2 T. dressing

D - baked chicken w/ sauteed yellow & green squash w/ onions

S - cup of whole milk yogurt w/ 2 T. flax meal mixed with french vanilla davinci


Totals: 1296 cals/ 87 fat/ 42 carbs/ 88 protein

Note: I don't net carb grams and this is a lower cal day for me.

Thanks for posting GetFitMom! You have done a fantastic job so far! Hopefully others will start posting. I get motivated by seeing others plan their meals and seeing how healthy they eat keeps me focused on good foods.

I added bacon to my egg salad sandwich this morning. I know I won't be able to eat as much as I have been since ketosis is kicking in.

Lowfat & lowcarb for Thursday

  • 1/2 decaf black coffee 4 cups all day
    brunch: carbquik bread pudding
    1:30: diced cantalope
    4:00: banana w 2 tbs natural pb
    psyllium fiber in 8 ounces water
    6:00: chicken soup w cabbage noodles
    2 cups mixed greens, fresh veggies, 2 T ranch drsg
    6 oz wine
    Snack: reduced fat string cheese (1/2 piece) grilled on 1/3rd piece of flatout bread, CF diet soda
60 ounces water

Will try to post over here. We have a menu thread on the Golden Bb but not much action there.

coffee with 3 splenda and half n' half (4)

L- 2 steakums with a slice of colby-jack mustard, mayo (.5)

S- hard boiled egg (.5)

D- greens with blue cheese dressing (4)
bunless bacon cheeseburger (.5)

S- half caf coffee with 4 splenda, half n' half, and cinnamon (6)
slice of coldby jack cheese (0)

carb total: 17.5

Totals 979 calories 67 fat 33 carb 61 protein

(These totals are without dinner; I will edit once I figure out exactly what I'm eating this evening )
