Here and ready to get rocking in October.

I didn't get to smoke my turkey yesterday because MIL called and needed my help. It was supposed to take an hour, but ended up taking 3.

So, today I am smoking the turkey and catching up around the house. I am NOT answering my phone today.

Around here, we usually say "in the saddle" ........... noticed it got changed a couple months ago. Some days, I guess I sit "on" the saddle when it has been awhile

By the way, I am here also!!!

I'm Here! Thx for starting us up, Deb!

Karen~ In or on the saddle! Headache gone...DH better? Did he get anything for being frisky? Love Soup...Like Misty, I eat it year round too!

Deb~LOL...on L/B already packing up the car! He must be excited about it! I'm going on a small road trip too. Going to visit a GF this wknd near SF & then going to spend the rest of the time in SF w/another GF.
I have bungee laces on my shoes too.

V~Had to LOL...on barely being able to drink your Wine w/your Headache! Headache gone? Smoked Turkey sounds yummo.

Misty~Bummer...on your Fav Restaurant burning down!

I basically maintained for Sept.. I yo-yo'd the same ole...few lbs here & there. Going to just try to maintain for Oct.. If I lose some...that will be a Bonus!
I'm going to cook up some (ground turkey) Burger soup too. It's that Mex stew that I frequently cook up. Going to finish off some meatloaf first & cook up the Mex stew manana.
Did some winterizing outside this AM. It's that time of the year. Now, getting ready for a dental cleaning appt. Laters!

Everything good at this household except it is raining again tonight.

One project finished today, so try to finish 2 tomorrow. Got another one well-started today.

Finally got a resume from likely lady to hire. I need 2 part-times, at least by December...... It isn't fun to be the boss sometimes...

lol thanks!

Today was a good day- just came back from the gym not too long ago. Ate a little more cheese than I would to have liked the past 3 days.. gave away a tub that was in my fridge though!! Too much of a good thing can sometimes be a bad thing.. cheese is a perfect example of this lol

I'm here, Did pretty good last month so will continue with my same plan. But want to increase the exercise and add more water.

Donna Debs Ceaser is delish, I even chuck of a wedge of lettuce and pour it on when I'm hungry and on the run.

Karen glad your DH is getting better. Hope you find some good help. Maybe it'll make things a little less stressful.

Pat we've been doing winterizing a lot faster this year, not sure of how fast things will change. This summer weather was strange, kind of scared what the winter will be like.

Deb counting down the days. Are you packed yet??

V was thinking about your turkey

Well getting ready for work, but last day. And it's raining.

Mind if I join you guys? I'm doing Stillman's for the month. My goal was to lose 10lbs last month, but, that never happened. I started the month deciding to try this juice fast and realized that it really was not for me. I felt so crappy, hungry, and headachy. I don't even feel like that on low carb! Tried to get back on the wagon after that and really only lost 2lbs after many failed days. I decided October would be the month I get back on track so here I am.

Welcome Donna & IWasMadeThisWay!!
Glad to have you guys join in with us

Misty- The turkey was so good. I injected it with a cajun butter marinade I bought at the store. Rubbed it with a garlic pepper rub and hickory smoked it for 4 hours. Then covered it and baked it on low temp the last hour. Everyone loved it... especially the gravy I made from the turkey broth that also tasted smokey. I will be eating leftovers tonight.

Deb- I am really struggling to motivate myself for work out, water, and food plan. I think I need a kick in the butt. My sinus headache has let up though, so that's good news....lol.
Super excited for your trip in a few days

We are getting ready to winterize here as well even though the temps are still in the 80's. There are storms building today as a cool front moves this way. They are telling us that we might see severe storms, hail, & tornadoes.

Thanks everyone!

So far so good today. Lots of chicken and eggs. I'm making a chocolate egg cream tonight. Yum!

I ran two miles this morning, and I'm about to go for a bike ride. Combined, it's about 50 minutes of cardio. I have a physical fitness test coming up so I'm working on my endurance and running. I am happy today because for once, my run time has improved drastically. All I did was take a few "weeks off" of running, as well as incorporated more biking. Hope the trend continues.

Hi, so glad this thread is here.

I'm restarting today after approximately 1.3 billion years of not doing anything good for my body and feeling horrible.

Hugs to you all!
