Well yesterday was another good day of eating. My shake for breakfast, tuna salad for lunch, and steak and eggs for dinner with 2 pieces of Lindt 90% for dessert. Oh and three bullet proof coffees. I have upped my fat intake lately to see if that will encourage the losses, but we'll see??

I have noticed lately that I am quite happy with eating the same ol same ol. I don't want to think about meals. I just want to eat and move on. So nothing exciting is coming from this kitchen.

Michelle, some people find it helpful to eat the same old. I can only do it so long....then I can't stomach it anymore!

Good morning

I'm here and I'm in. Been to busy to think much about goals, but I know for sure I still need to cut the sugar. So any who....just working on eating better for now.

Michelle let me know how the increase in fat works. Do you like the bullet proof coffee? How do you make yours? I am interested in that for sure. I checked out a book at the library, Grain Brain. I have NOT read it, no time. But looking though it he totally recommends coffee. And I love coffee. Right now I only do decalf, which defeats the reason he likes it. Maybe I can go back to regular, time will tell.

I joined this group when the name was something about Muffin Tops........
Well FYI I still have mine!

I did weigh in this morning and 179 is an accurate starting point. I was relieved, which is sickening! Goal for me by Halloween 172??? Certainly I can do 7 pounds by then! I think my head is finally back in the game. I won't say anything to DH, but he has really packed on the pounds. If I were guessing, he is probably really close to his starting point from when we started this...which for him is 40 pounds back on!

I do NOT want to blink and have another 10 on. I want to get this back down to where I was! We can do this guys!

Coffee isn't for me. In my pea brain, drinks are meant to be iced cold...and I can't stand the smell/taste of iced coffee, guessing, it would need the sugar/cream and such to make it good!

OH Anna, my muffin top is back and worse than ever!!!

It's FRIDAY - EVE girls, plans for the weekend??? We are busy this weekend.

DD12 has a birthday party Friday night.
Saturday she has 3 softball games one at 8, 9:30 and 12:30. It is an hour away, so we will have to leave the house at 6:00 to get her there by 7:00 so she can warm up. I am going to stay home to do some TRIP Shopping with DS15.

I think Saturday late afternoon we will go see the Planet of the Apes movie as a family then either do some grilling at home for dinner or go out. Not sure which

DS15 leaves Sunday morning (has to be there at 4:30 AM) for a Mystery Mission trip with a group of churches out of KC (so 30 minutes drive for us). They will be gone Sunday to Sunday. They will do service work and a lot of other fun stuff. I am so exctied for him! The shopping that needs to be done is to prep him for this trip. They aren't allowed to bring much, THANK GOODNESS as a GUY, he doesn't NEED much!

Sunday DD12 also has more softball games. I will probably go to her games on Sunday since I won't be at her Saturday games!

We sure have known each other for awhile now. I'm not sure how many years now but I would guess at least three maybe 4 years ago. Jeanne and I met on a challenge that was called "100 Days to Halloween" It was both of ours' first challenge. It is very nice to know I have cyber friends who share the same weight issues and that I can talk to anytime. I enjoy my time talking to you gals Monica and Anna and I sure hope Jeanne comes back to us too.

Monica once again your weekend plans have exhausted me. How do you do it?

I'm with you. I feel my head is in the game once again. I know my peri-menopause is getting in the way right now of losing but I am not giving up. Like you said...I have already put too much back on and I don't want to have to take off anymore then I already do.

Anna---I love my bullet proof coffees. I treat it as my special treat and it works well. I don't know yet if it will help with weight loss though.

I mix an ounce of either unsweetened chocolate almond milk or unsw. coconut milk and add a heaping tablespoon of coconut oil or unsalted butter in a mug. I microwave for a few seconds to melt butter or oil and then I have a battery powered milk frother and I blend it all til frothy. Add my coffee and enjoy! Those frothers are available almost everywhere and are quite cheap. Well worth it so that you have a creamy, frothy beverage rather then one with an oil slick on top. Do try, I'm sure you will like it.

Well my plans for the weekend have changed a little. A neighbor down the street is 94 years old and has had to go to the hospital. She owns a very old dog and the woman's daughter is unable to care for it. So she checked with the rescue agency that the woman got the dog from to see if they could help with the dog's care until the woman comes out of the hospital. Well it turns out she got the dog from the rescue I foster for so the rescue owner gave the daughter my name and number and now we have Murray a very old and very FAT corgi mix staying with us until his 94 year old mom gets out of the hospital. He is such a good boy.

Tomorrow is weigh in. I hope to see even a few ounces gone just to give me hope. Let's all cross our fingers for a few ounces gone. It really will do a lot for my mental preparedness for this challenge.

Happy Friday everyone.

Time is going to fast. I worked 3 days this week, babysit grand D one day, and today was just doing everything I didn't do all week. And I didn't touch the house.

Thanks for the bullet proof coffee recipe Michelle. I am hoping to try it this week end. I have tried coconut oil in coffee/tea. Oh I could not drink it. I have an emersion blender, going to try that. If that doesn't work and I can get it down I'll look for the frother . I did buy some coconut creamer, and surprise I really like it.

As usual Zipp your weekend is full. Hope you all have a great time at all the games. Which day is your dd? I could do the up ones! LOL

Oh yes, tell us about your house guest. That is so sweet of you to help out the neighbor with her fur baby while she is sick. I am sure he means the world to her.

So glad you have him........

Forgot to ask, is your street finished?

A house behind us caught on fire yesterday. Pretty scary. The people are all ok, but not the house. 7 fire trucks.

Anyone heard from Jeanne??

Cathy, you so can join our little group. I'm sure you will hit your goal with a great menu like that. I should probably go back to posting my meals too. It would make me more accountable.

My weigh in today showed no progress. So what did I do...go to the farmers market and ate a dozen cookies. I could just kick myself. Why do I do this?????

No my street isn't finished yet. I am still walking a block or two toget to the car. They say two more weeks if the rain would just stop. I want my driveway back

jeanne please stop by and say hello. We are worried!

Well my meals went well this weekend. No problem there. But both Saturday and Sunday night the snack monster got me and after a whole bag of chips and 15 - 100 cal cookie snack packs I have gained 3 lbs. And even worse all my cravings are back. I have to start at ground zero AGAIN!!!!!

But I'm not giving up. Like Anna said "I can do this"
B: Avocado shake
L: Tuna Salad on LC High Fiber crackers
D: Chicken breast on spinach salad.

And the hopefully 2 pieces of 90% Chocolate and that's it. I think I can...I think I can

The doggie has gone back to its mom. She was released from the hospital Saturday. That poor dog is soooo fat. He has such a hard time walking. Oh well nothing I can do about it and I can't control my own weight. So who am I to talk.

I'm firmly back on track with eating today. How about you Monica?

B= avocado shake
L=Egg salad
S= chicken breast with sauted swiss chard
and 2 pieces of Chocolate. Maybe some almonds too later.

When is T. back?

Morning girls.....

Well I still have not tried the bullet proof coffee. Just the ideal of eating OIL is not going over well with my tummy. But I have not given up Michelle. I'm still thinking about it.

At my age, I think I have to consider calories also. So sad, LOL. Use to I could just skip supper, or cut back a few days and everything was ok. Not so much any more.

Just wanted to say HI

How is everyone doing?

How is T liking camp? What is H doing this week? I need new craft ideals for my 4 yr old grand. We might have to go to the craft store today..... oh my.

later
