No problem MsWoods. Thank you for your prayers.

Over eating seems to be the theme around here. Wel at least we all have company in that department.

We or at least I do not do much couponing up here. The coupons are usually only good for 10cents or so, stores do not double here, and you are always limited to just one per item, so I never found it worth while. When I watch that extreme couponing though in the States it is always looks well worth it. All I can do here is just wait for store sales and manager sales to afford our food. The stores dictate what I eat.

Monica--Is T going to school this year or will he be doing it from home? I thought he was doing it from home.

I had been eating well until Saturday night then DH wanted to go to his favorite buffet for supper. And after his difficult week I wasn't going to say no. I ate well and on plan until I saw the pecan pie. Then all heck broke loose in me and 3 pieces were devoured. Back on plan Sunday. What a repeat story.

Time for laundry and vacuuming. See you later.

Either our scale is totally WONK or DH just jumped back on plan and in JUST ONE WEEK lost 12 pounds. LIFE is not fair !!! He thinks about dieting and drops a ton of weight!

How do men do that??? It is so maddening.
Oh well I guess we get our revenge by usually outliving them.

Just finished baking my MIL black bean cupcakes. I made some last time she got out of the hospital since they are sugar free and low salt and apparently she loved them and has requested more I am happy to oblige.

OH that is awesome that she loved them Michelle! It's the little things that end up most important!

Ms Wood - how goes it for you???

Anna - things going well for you?

Me, chugging along. Nothing special. Quiet week for us. That's nice. I have off on friday as my nephew is getting married on Saturday. DH is a reader for the wedding so we have to be at the rehearsal on Friday and the dinner. I am making Friday and Saturday up days, then DD on Sunday! See how that goes.

Michelle204 how is your MIL??

Hope you all have some good news there.

I have been eating too much sugar. Again. I hate it when I do this. Oh well............

Friday, what are you all doing this week-end.

My grand D turns 5 this week-end. So it's birthday party time. I will NOT eat sugar/wheat there. I will NOT.

Later

Sorry girls still here. I have been battling a stupid summer cold. It has made me so tired. I am going to bed right after supper all week. I'm sleeping my summer away darn it.

Anna---I know you can do it! NO Sugar and NO Wheat. You can still enjoy the party without the cake.

Monica-- Enjoy your wedding. Going into the weekend with a plan is half the battle. As they say "failure to plan is planning to fail" You will do great.

I've been doing pretty good at my food choices. My only problem is portions. I can't stop at a handful of anything. I also ate more then half the muffins I made my MIL. I will have to make another batch for her next week and deliver them right away before I get my grubby paws into them. LOL.

Well I'm off to work. Have a great day ladies.

Well I'm glad we do not have to start a new thread for Aug.

I listen to a radio show that ends with, what did we learn today.

So I'm applying it to the month. What did I learn in July about food.

1. I cannot eat any amount of chocolate ice cream without gaining a lb or 2.

2. I can skip breakfast/or eat limited amount and feel pretty good.

3. Low carb does not always mean I'll lose weight. sad

4. For me eating lower carb and lower calorie is important.

5. Sugar is not my friend. Not even just on the week-ends.

6. Always trying to stay motivated....

Michelle, sorry you haven't been feeling well. Nothing worse than a summer cold.

Anna - looks like you are recapping and knowing how to proceed. How was the birthday party???

Ms Wood - sounds like you are super busy right now.

The wedding was amazing. My nephew looked so handsome and his bride BEAUTIFUL! It was a FULL DAY! I don't know how they managed. I was tired and I didn't do 1/2 of what they did! It was all nice. Now back to reality. Last full week of Summer break for my kids. I am SOOOO ready for school to start.

Monica---Sounds like you had a good time at the wedding. What were all the activities that wore you out?

Anna-- I love your what did i learn list. I have to start something like that for myself. I also want to start a "I'm grateful for what list" and put something on it everyday. I think it will be very encouraging.

Blew it again this weekend. Another Monday restart for me.

Michelle - we had family pictures at 12:30, the wedding was at 2:00, immediately following DH and I (and some others) were in charge of getting the appetizers out and kept stocked. Dinner was at 4:30, then at 6:00, we started tearing down the meal type stuff....at 8:00 the dance started and we got out the appetizers that weren't eaten.

It was just a LONG DAY! The dance ended at 12:00! That's also very late for this old gal!

Don't fret the restart girl! At least you keep at it!

How is everyone else???

Well I am owning up to being 194 lbs. I have gained 7 lbs since starting this challenge. I take full responsibility for my actions and I vow to try harder today and from this day forward. I am only hurting myself and I am tired of hurting myself!

I am worth the effort that this battle takes!

Hi girls........

Not much new here. I too have been walking at the gym. That's about all. Trying to eat less. (so so with that!)

Birthday party was cute, swim party for a bunch of little kids. Too cute. Bitter sweet as they had to have their family dog put down the day before. Grand still does not know. She thinks he is at the hospital.

Wedding sounds like fun Monica.

Hi Ms Woods, and Michelle204.

Michelle204 I like the ideal of a "I'm grateful for what list". It really does help to focus on what is right, not what is always wrong. I'm the master of that list!!

Michelle owning it is 1/2 the battle! YOu got this girl! Just string a few good days together and cross that over to a weekend!!!

Ms. Wood, I hear ya girl! Gym time is good to log as well!

Anna - how horrible! Those furbabies are just as much a part of the family as the rest of us! my thoughts go out to them!

I'm grateful for:

My health. With all I have been through in life, I have been very healthy...my children/husband as well!

I think I will put at least 1 item each day that I am grateful for!

Gave blood last night and they say my hemoglobin levels were back up. So I am grateful for that news. It means I am still healthy enough to give blood and since I am 0- they were giving my blood to an unborn baby whose mother was in an accident over the weekend. I hope my blood helps that baby.

So I am happy to hear your kids like it.

They don't normally tell me the exact circumstance of who is getting my blood, but like I said I am 0- and they always save that for unborn babies. It just happened the blood bank got a call a few minutes before I got there to ask for 0- for an emergency that just happened and they needed as much 0- as possible. So they were going to do all there tests on my blood to make sure everything was good to go and then rush it over to the hospital.

I mistakenly bought some Medjool Dates at costco the other day. They are extremely delicious and I can't stop eating them. They have a million carbs and calories. I wish I could throw them out, but I can't throw out good food. AHHHHHHHH!

Michelle204 way cool about your blood helping an unborn baby.

The Red Cross here will not take my blood. I have A+, but I lived in Germany during the 80's. They say I could/possibly have mad cow disease. Not a good feeling. I don't eat red meat any more.....

Week-end plans??

Not much here, having the family over for multiple b-day celebration.

Chicken is on the menu, pasta salad, grilled corn, g-beans...... more I'm sure. Making "Frozen" cup cakes for the Grand, which all the adults will eat.

BTW I did go to pinterest. And I stayed so long..... I just got out of it. It is great, but I need to learn how to limit myself there. LOL

That's kind of scary isn't it? Are you going to get tested to see? However, if you had it that long, hypothetically, I think you're fine

I'm here. Just tired. Laying it all out there, I'm 29, never had a house guest, my house has been to messed up to have people over, so I became a hermit over the years (lots of other factors), but after I lost the bulk of my weight, I've been working on remodeling the house. All myself, and all as I can afford it. Lots of trial and error lol.

Anyways, my friend is coming to stay with me on the 19th. We've never met in person, we met on Xbox a lot of years ago, like, 6-7, we've been really good friends. Anyways she's finally coming to see me. I'm nervous and excited to have someone besides my DF. I've really shut everyone out of my life except the bare basics (mom, dad, brother kind of, and fiance). My house is far from complete, I'm just trying to get it functional so she can not be like, omg WTH. I explained it to her and she knows me well, she said she doesn't care, but still. I don't want someone to perceive me a certain way when I've been fighting over 5 years to dig myself out of this hole.

Only my DF knows the true story of how bad things got, with everything, so he's really the only one that really understands my struggle lol.

Anways, I just been working my butt off trying to get things set up, get her a room ready, and get some furniature. We completely gutted the whole house (sorry it's a mobile home) and threw everything away. We had mice and roaches so bad, I had no choice. FF to now, it's under control, but I have no furniature and no bed for her lol.

Anyhoo, that kind of gives yall an idea of why I'm not around. But I'm going to try to do better.
