Yay for the new challenge, thanks Tasha for the thread! How's the burn on your face??

I'm starting at 199.8, my goal by labor day is to be under 180!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, ours was gloriously lazy and relaxing....did well on my food, didn't walk as much as intended but really felt like we needed the rest. We'll definitely walk this evening!!

How's everyone doing???

It's ok, I've been keeping neosporin on it, not sure what else to do with it. Kinda oozing, so looks pretty gross. Had more skin peel off this morning, just hoping it doesn't leave a bad scar. 180 sounds glorious Can't wait to see that number!!!

I "joined" the other Labor Day challenge but can I "join" this one as well? Two months SHOULD take me to what I am currently calling goal. I am at 158 with 13 to go for 145 which puts me at no longer "officially" overweight.

Really my goal is to have a sub 35" waist but it's hard to quantify that in terms of how many weeks/months that will take. So at 145, I will stop concentrating on THAT number and start concentrating on rededicating myself to the running and weightlifting and toning I have essentially given up for the too-hot summer. I still run occasionally now if I get up early enough and there's a small break in the weather, but I am swimming as much as possible so I have not receded to sedentary.

!!!

I've also stopped walking due to it being so dang hot! I had three days last week I could have walked as the weather was gorgeous, but we had plans that kept me from being able to. Really miss walking.

Hi Ladies

Tasha- put me at 186 for the final weigh in if it matters and I am starting this one at 186.

Hoping to get down to 170 by Labor Day! Vacation at the beach was great! Did terrible with food and drinks though. Got sick the day we were leaving (yesterday) had to go to the dr today. Upper respitory, ear infection and pink eye. Jeesh! So back on diet but can't go back to boot camp prob until Wednesday. I did run 3 days on my vacation

Thanks for the welcome back too! Very sweet of you ladies!

Tasha- that's terrible about the firework!! they scare me so much! I am a big wimp when it comes to those

Tammy - CONGRATS to onederland!!! Super proud of you. You are an inspiration to us
!!

well gotta run still trying to work while sick

Looking forward to this challenge. Will start posting what I eat tomorrow too. I think it helps

Good morning all!

Kelly-hope you are feeling better!!!

Doing this while I'm on hold with our software vendor. Came in to another issue this morning. Gotta love computers.

Saw a new number this morning on the scale, but don't want to scare it away so not going to say what it is until I see it's going to stick. New low. Getting ever closer to onederland! Did really well on food yesterday, hoping today goes as well. Had hair cut, colored and highlighted after work, got home, changed clothes, called AT&T to get a billing issue fixed(they changed our plan without my permission, been ongoing now for a couple weeks By the time I got off the phone with them, had about an hour to fix me an omelet, watch a little tv and go to bed.

Weather alarm woke me up at 11:00 last night, guess it stormed all night, I slept right through it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morming ladies!

Welcome MadMarsha!

Kelly.....my goodness girl you've got the trifecta of illness there!! I hope you're feeling better!! 170 by labor day is nothing, you've got this!!

Tasha, You had a busy evening!! You'll have to post a pic of your new hairdo!!

So where are Glyn, Squash, and Cheryl???

I survived Monday....geeze, I'm so short staffed right now that it's ridiculous!! On Monday's I have to cover both apartment communities MYSELF.....and these are NOT small communities either! Oh well, it keeps me busy, right???? We went for a nice long walk after work that neither DH or I really felt like doing, but we hadn't walked on Sunday and we promised each other we wouldn't miss 2 days in a row......so we did it, then we felt really good that we did!!

Well, I hope everyone has a GREAT day, I'll check back in later!!

I was thinking the same thing....where you girls at?

Didn't really change much on the hairdo, a little darker, less highlights and a little shorter. If I can remember, I'll post a pic.

It really sucks being short staffed! We are down one person in our department and have been for a very long time and they won't let us replace them. Double the work for everyone! Good job on the walk! Wish the heat would let up here some, I'd love to start walking again. Supposed to be lower humidity tomorrow, so maybe????

Happy Tuesday!

I am feeling a bit better but still not 100%. Glad my boss let me work from home again today. So doing that 4 week summer fun challenge at my boot camp and the first 3 days they call detox and you can eat nothing but fruits and vegetables to clean out your system.
so today is
B- banana
L- salad with cucumbers
S- broccoli
D- fruit and veggie smoothie in blender

Tammy- good for you for not skipping 2 days in a row and going! I told my dh that we have to do 5 days a week of exercise. hoping I can get back to boot camp tomorrow.

Tasha- how do you like your hair? I love when I get my hair done. Cut and colored. Feels so much better. You'll have to tell you your weight tomorrow

Squash- awesome goal! we can do this!!

Hope everyone is doing good. Back to back vacations for me so I am looking for a nice quiet weekend this weekend and not spending money

I love getting my hair cut, feels so much healthier! Thinking it is a little shorter than I wanted, but my hair grows so fast. I'll tell my weight tomorrow , don't want to jinx it.

That reminds me, I need to get a haircut, too. Just re-did my roots and I need a new driver's license this year and I keep meaning to go do it when everything is "just right". I have until October but I'm excited to get it done early. I'd like to have a driver's license that actually matches my true weight. Or if I go now and tell the truth and then lose more to goal -- and maybe even beyond! -- my ACTUAL weight will be LOWER than what my license says. Boy, what a year, my friends!

13 pounds in 2 months is going to be hard at the slow rate I'm losing if I don't start whooshing again.

I found this recipe that makes a "chocolate muffin" using flax seed. It's not THE tastiest thing ever, but hits the spot when you're missing the texture of a muffin. Between that and my hemp powder protein shake (14 gm carbs but 13 gm fiber!), I am staying pretty "regular". Aack, TMI, I know!!!! hee hee

RECIPE: Mix, then place in custard dish:
1 raw egg
3 tablespoons flaxseed
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 drop of honey (I use 2 packets of Truvia)

Microwave on high for 1:20

If any of you have that little stonewave cooker, that's what I use.

That is totally doable! Just stick with it. I also have issues with being 'regular'. Longing for the days when I can experiment with recipes. For now, I just keep it simple.

Good morning all!

Well, my weight didn't stick boo. Saw 205 yesterday which I haven't seen in forever and was really really really hoping it was true....but not. Scale said 207 this morning. Oh well. Thinking it must be sodium and not enough water, haven't gone off plan.

Weather is beautiful here today and will be tomorrow also. Going to try to get a walk in this evening and pull some weeds maybe. Too nice outside not to get out in it!

Gotta make this short, still playing catchup today from the long weekend.

Everyone have a good one!!

Tasha, you look FABULOUS!!!! The cut and color are great, but sweetie I see a big difference in the shape of your face between this pic and your profile pic....way to go!

Madmarsha, the flax muffins are good when you're really craving something bready! I'm a shortie too, I'm 5'3.....I tell my hubby all the time that I'm not short...I'm fun size!

Ok, real quick I have to share a GREAT new dip with you that I just learned about.....it's SO GOOD......and this recipe makes a HUGE batch, so you might halve it or quarter it.....or make the whole darn thing and eat on it for a week!!

Mississippi Sin Dip:
1/2 to 1lb of bacon diced small and fried crisp, drained and set aside. In another pan melt 1 block of cream cheese with 16 oz of sour cream and 2 Cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir in 1t of worcestershire sauce, a dash of hot sauce and the bacon. Stir til it's all melted and bubbly, serve with your favorite dipping item (veggies, pork rinds, etc)

On that note, I'm off to work.....have a great day!!

Thanks Tammy! I can tell a difference in my legs, face and my neck. The rest is coming about slowly. I figure slow is better than fast and not knowing what to do with it when I get there....hoping anyway. I just want to get under 200......

I am thinking of doing strictly all meat eliminating all dairy for just a week as an experiment. Cutting out dairy .. and hence cheese .. is almost a deal breaker for me for even one week. It would be an experiment to see, No. 1, if it makes a difference in my belly; and, No. 2, just to see if I CAN do it. I have done so well cutting out and not missing out on SO many things so I don't see why this prospect seems so hard and un-doable for just ONE week. I just rely on cheese so much. It's really the only dairy I eat right now but keeps me from getting bored on the meat.

Yes, Squash, I finally alit on "not being officially considered overweight" as my goal so 145 it is. I really hope this last 2 months is it. I will still weigh but will shift my focus to toning as I get back into weightlifting and running after my summer at the pool.
