I want to get motivated again. Its been a long time since I've been LC.
I'm thinking the pain/ache in my legs is because I am borderline diabetic.

So far I'm still on track after 3 days. But the evenings are the worst. I've started a new counted cross stitch picture, in 22 count, very hard to see at my age even while wearing magnifying glasses. My legs don't ache this morning, yeah.

Happy July, Everyone!!!

June 30: 227 (Missed goal by 4 lbs. But on the upside, I just started Atkins 72 Thursday so lost all of the weight in four days!)

July goal: 205

Tuesday 7-1: 229 (Up 2 lbs... Cheated yesterday with 8 oz of cream cheese and 3 t of Splenda. But never had a BM either... Time to seriously buckle down as I want to see the scale keep going in the other direction!) I start my new job today. Hoping that gets me moving more again!

now the real test begins. I've lost the initial water weight, and now must just think about exercising, but my pain is there, and the elliptical is down the basement. I plan to spend some time outside digging up a section of daffodils. My garden Club takes care of a flower bed on a walking trail, and it needs some spring color--so in a week or so, I will plant them over there. I thinking of the future for my weight and the flowers next spring--it is all good. I need to put the heating pad on my shoulder so I can move it.

Goal for July - I'll be honest here. I am having a terrible time just maintaining my weight. I went too far with diet hacks over the past two years and have really screwed myself up. I got down to 191!!! But, after a while, I ended up feeling terrible. Cold, tired, and weak. I needed to eat. But now...there seems to be no way to stop this train, and I have regained a massive amount of weight, which was set off by layoffs at work right before Thanksgiving. My good friends were let go. There is another threat of layoffs looming.

Frankly, maintaining would be great, but I do hope to lose weight. I am close to where I was before I started diet hacks in 2012 with a protein-sparing modified fast, then the potato hack, then the Shangri-La combined with bland paleo. I lost about 50 pounds with these methods. Frankly, I freaked out after my husband passed away in early 2012 and my way of dealing with the grief and anxiety was weight loss. Losing weight, that was going to make me feel better! But, in the end, it didn't. Before all that, I lost somewhere around 75 pounds just on low carb, very slowly at a rate of 15-20 pounds per year from 2005 to 2010 (gained in 2011 as my husband's health declined). I went up and down, cycling 10 pounds on and off, sometimes 20 at the tail end of this before starting the 'hacks.' I lost a total of over 120 pounds overall. I have gained about 40 back. I can't go back to 300 pounds plus.

June weight was around 234. I would love to get back to the 220s. I just need to stay out of the 240s and stop gaining.

I should start a journal. I'm not looking for responses, I just needed to write this down, and I just want to weigh in.

7-1 239 - freaked out and overate after fasting!!!! UGH!!!! Restarted MCT oil, regained control by evening.

I am close to where I was before I started diet hacks in 2012 with a protein-sparing modified fast, then the potato hack, then the Shangri-La combined with bland paleo. I lost about 50 pounds with these methods. Frankly, I freaked out after my husband passed away in early 2012 and my way of dealing with the grief and anxiety was weight loss. Losing weight, that was going to make me feel better! But, in the end, it didn't. Before all that, I lost somewhere around 75 pounds just on low carb, very slowly at a rate of 15-20 pounds per year from 2005 to 2010 (gained in 2011 as my husband's health declined). I went up and down, cycling 10 pounds on and off, sometimes 20 at the tail end of this before starting the 'hacks.' I lost a total of over 120 pounds overall. I have gained about 40 back. I can't go back to 300 pounds plus.

June weight was around 234. I would love to get back to the 220s. I just need to stay out of the 240s and stop gaining.

I should start a journal. I'm not looking for responses, I just needed to write this down, and I just want to weigh in.

You know I feel ya for sure. People can never imagine me at 327 lbs, but I was like that for most of my life so it's pretty well ingrained in my mental picture of how I look. I know I have that body dysmorphic disorder... It's just hard to see anything else because all I see is the damage the weight did to my skin. That's why even though like in my profile pic it may not look like I'm wearing much, but I've got on pantyhose under the fishnets, spanx and a waist cincher. I always stand a certain way so people won't see my large thighs. I rarely ever bare my arms because of the bat wings. I could go on... But I keep remembering what my doctor told me when I first started gaining all the weight back when I was 18... She said if you dress in big baggy clothes all the time, you're going to fill them. I went shopping for the first time since my new weight gain just the other day and was astounded at how many sizes I went up. Just last September I was wearing a size 10/12. I now own two skirts that are a size 22. I could barely even fit a leg into a 14 or 16! And that's me only 25 lbs heavier than I was in that photo... And I say "only" because relative to 125 lbs, it is only 25. But yeah... I totally know what you mean. Still... A72 has kept me on the path to losing so I'm sticking with it. I'm down 10 lbs since last week. I don't expect this streak to continue, but it would be great if it did. You can do it, too, Key Tones! Just hang in there. Tomorrow's a new day to begin again.

Week One
Tuesday 7-1: 229 (Up 2 lbs... Cheated yesterday with 8 oz of cream cheese and 3 t of Splenda. But never had a BM either... Time to seriously buckle down as I want to see the scale keep going in the other direction!) I start my new job today. Hoping that gets me moving more again!
Wednesday 7-2: 226 Aunt Flo came for a visit today, too, so water retention must have been part of the problem, too. Woohoo!!!

I've weighed myself before and after a big BM but the weight did not change. Don't understand that. But the weight did change after a pee. With my shoulder pain, I'm having a bit of a pity party and had some cream cheese rolled salami yesterday--I just need to throw the cream cheese away. And then I read about the death of Key Tones husband--I have nothing to have self pity about. That is what I pray for all the time, to die before my husband.
We have just been invited to a 4 day cabin vacation with a gal who has already lost 20 lbs on WeightWatchers-I need to start exercising to reach that goal of 20 lbs by July 29.
Candy it was great to see you lose so much in one day at your low size. Great news.
