Ok ladies....here we go! We're gonna get to where we need to be!!!

For any new challengers, a little bit about me. I'm 47, soon to be 48, happily married for 22 years and have worked at the same hospital as a System Analyst for 22 years. I have a daughter that is 26 with a 4 yr old daughter and a 3 week old daughter and I have a son that is 20. So, our lives are very busy and full. I have been low carbing since around 2000. I've lost 50+ pounds at least three times only to gain back again and again. I've recently had some health issues and have had to switch to watching my calories and fat. I have always relied on low carb because I know it like the back of my hand and liked the way my body responded to it. But, I have outrageously high Triglycerides and my cholesterol levels are not good. So, I'm trying it the docs way for a while and see how my levels adjust to the new way of eating, but I want to keep up with all my low carb friends!!! Cheryl, get your buttooty in here Cheryl and I go waaaaay back Wish we could also get some of our old group in here!

Post your goals, menus, current weight, measurements, whatever you want!

Mine for today is:
Goals-climb the stairs as many times as I can at work(3 stories) and drink more water
Menu:
B: nonfat plain yogurt with blueberries and vanilla yogurt
L: Turkey/Swiss on ww with mustard and lettuce
D: Ziti (whole wheat pasta with 95% lean ground beef)

I'm not really counting so much as just trying to eat better and am kind of watching calories and fat and the main thing with me is portion control. I'm tried of being fat, tired of always feeling so tired all the time and tired of being the one person out of all our group of friends that is always turning down invites to go somewhere because I don't feel comfortable.

If you guys want, I can keep track on a spreadsheet of everyones starting weights and we have 5 weeks until Memorial Day, so I will add a column of new weights for each week so you can see your losses(hopefully!!!!) and I'll post it after weigh in on Monday? How's that sound?

My starting weight is 223.5 from yesterday, my goal for 5 weeks is 10 pounds.

Tasha, I love the spreadsheet idea....it makes everything so much easier to track!

A little about me: I am also 47, happily married for 27 years. My Stepson is 35, our son is 25, and our daughter is 20. Daughter is getting married THIS WEEK on Thursday.....which was my primary reason for losing weight the first time around January 1 when I re-joined LCF. I've lost 32 pounds so far, and have a LOOOOONG way to go.....but I'm getting there and having fun along the way with these FABULOUS ladies!! I work in Property management and manage two apartment communities in gorgeous Southern California. It can be very stressful, but it keeps me busy and I enjoy it.

Hey, ladies!!

Tasha - we do go wayyy back - try 12 years! One of these days I will actually lose weight coming to this board A spreadsheet would be awesome. Put me at 196 (ugh) starting this challenge.

My goal is to lose 11 pounds by Memorial Day and another 5 before June 6, my NY trip.

Tammy - 32 lbs is awesome!!! Congrats about your daughter, also!

Kelly - I do the same thing on the weekends - let's vow not to this weekend!

Squash - we can do 10 lbs, no problem!!

B - 2 hb eggs, 3 slices of bacon
L - half of roasted chicken from Walmart
D - other half of roasted chicken

I have got to get rid of any cravings! Going to spin class at 4:30 -

Cheryl- YES! Lets do it this weekend.....lets try to stay on the diet all weekend. I know my cravings will pass after I stick with low carb for 1-2 weeks solid. Then I seem to lose them. The first 2 weeks are hard though and I get snippy too...lol

Ok, I need a great busy group to join. I don't do low carb but I do a weight loss clinic.

So a little about me I am 48 and single. I at one time was down 155 pounds but have put back on 55. I don't like this and so I went back to my weight loss clinic and cried help me! I am doing their jump start for now. I have a vacation coming up in May with a guy I adore but nothing seems to really work out for us. lol

My day mainly right now is 5 meal replacements with 15 gr of protein each and 1 small low carb/low fat meal a day. I am struggling with sticking with it exactly but I know I can do this. I have insulin resistance so my body doesn't want to give up this fat!

Thank you all so much.

Start 210

WOE: JUDDD FOR LIFE!
Start Date: Jan 2012. Name Kimberly
Good afternoon.. I am 47 years old and have been losing weight most of my adult life. I can say that i was sucessfull with a 106 pound loss from low-fat back in 1995 and kept that off till 2002. Job change put me on my Butt in 2002 and 35 pounds crept back on. Fast forward to 2012 i did find a WOE that took off 60 pounds and thats where i am today 2014 at 165-169 depending on what day it is.. I am hear to join your challange to keep my accountable to try and reach 160. It may not seam like much but i just cant quite get there!. Another goal i have is to start back up with my exersise again, I have slacked for about a month now, and my arms are just a swinging agian ) Well I look forward to checking in and getting to know the rest of this crew on this thread~

Oh my goodness, new kids!!! Tonia & Kimberly!

Squash, I can't wait til I'm in a size 12!! As it is I can barely keep my pants up now....you know when the elastic waist band is so loose that your pants keeps falling that something is going right!

Kelly, I refuse to believe that you could possibly ruin a whole week of bootcamp over 1 weekend....no way.....you'll be fine, especially as consistent as you've been getting up at 5:00 am to work out!

Cheryl, 16 pounds between now and June 6 is completely doable....you can rock this challenge!!

Tasha, yes I'll be posting pics after the wedding....can't wait! The kids are so cute, they went and got their marriage license this morning and texted me a picture of it!

Well back to work, just wanted to check in real quick and say hi!

Tania and Kimberly! This is a great group to do a challenge with

Tammy- Thanks for making me feel better although you’d be surprised as to what I can eat and drink in a weekend …. Also excited for the wedding. Cant wait to see a pix of you in that beautiful dress! Can’t believe it came so quick.

Was at 5 am boot camp again this morning since I missed Monday and Tuesday. I’ll have to make up for that this weekend. My son’s baseball season is getting ready to end….. Will love getting my evenings back but at the same time I always LOVE going to watch him play. He makes a Momma proud! I’ll try to upload a pix of him in his uniform. He’s too cute

Hope everyone has a great day today.

B- 2 hard-boiled eggs (Easter colors )
s- Cocoa covered almonds
L- salad with tuna on top Cesar dressing
D- protein shake

I like the name of this challenge and this looks like a fine group of folks! My birthday is the first week of June so I like having a challenge before that. I really need the accountability, too.

I'm Glyn, 40-something and happily divorced. I have been fighting with my weight most of my life. I was doing really well with low carb/counting calories and was down 65 lbs until I hit a 6 week stall in March so I took a break after none of my tweaking worked. I ended up with a 12.6 gain, but I didn't over eat and kept up my exercise so I feel sure most of it is water from the added carbs. Anyway, I started over Monday and so far the scale has been friendly. I'm down over 5 lbs and haven't counted the first calorie. I rarely have this kind of luck past Induction (not counting calories), but I'm going to give it a go.

So, my goal for this challenge is to lose the weight that I gained during my break along with getting out of the 220's. I hit my lowest in years on Feb 28th (222.2) and I never got below 222 in March or April (so far). I am also going to try to keep up my streak of 10K+ steps per day. I really want to get back into strength training, but I have a muscle injury that I keep aggravating so I'll have to see how that feels next week before making any commitment.

SW: 234.8
GW: 219.8

Good luck everyone!

Tania and Kimberly!! We have a great group of ladies here!

Doing good on my 3rd day, lc - did better yesterday that Tuesday so hopefully today will be perfect. My blood sugar was nice and low this am and I feel good so I know these are good signs!

My youngest daughter, Ashley, has decided to go to University of Central Florida for her bachelor's this August. She went to a local college for her AA. So we are going to check out apts, etc May 3rd weekend. We decided to go to Medieval Times at night - that is a fun place.

Kelly - 5 am boot camp Good for you! Don't forget we are on for this weekend - NO CHEATS! I bought pork rinds last night in case I get the urge for "crunch" -

Tasha - hey, buddy The weather is beautiful here too! We can do this - thong bikini here we come can not even type it with a straight face....

Tammy - wedding is tomorrow, correct?

Good morning ladies!

Welcome Glyn, glad to have you on board....this is a great group of ladies!!

Kelly, your son is sooooo flipping cute!!!

Cheryl, yes the wedding is tomorrow. DD and her fiancé are coming over today and will spend the night....DD and I have manis / pedis scheduled for this afternoon....boy am I looking forward to that!!

Tasha, I think 20 minutes of walking is a GREAT goal....I'd be happy to get in 20 minutes in! Between that and taking the stairs all the time you'll be making great headway with exercise!

Well, I have about 8 hours of work to squeeze into 4 so I can take off early, so I'd better snap to it. See you kids later!

I went over to my parents today. They were watching a show about addictions. They had someone on there that was addicted to brake fluid. Can you believe that?

Thanks for the warm welcomes, Tammy, Squash and Tasha!

Cheryl, great job on day 3!

Kelly, cute pic!

Tammy, sounds like you have your hands full!

Squash, I have heard of some weird addictions, but that is cray cray!

Tasha, good to know there is another Gemini in the room! Mine is D-Day...and born in the 60's, I got teased all the time with all those 6's. I guess I do have my evil days.

I'm having a tough time getting my 10K steps in today since I overslept this morning due to driving in from out of town at 2am. It is already too hot to get outside so I ended up walking around a big room over and over during lunch just to get up to 9K I'll get 'er done before the day is out though. With this time change, I'll have to get up early in the morning so I can get to the park before the heat.

Have a great evening!

Oh my gosh finally found you all again. Been on a sugar bender. So goal is to get that under control again. Geesh. Up a couple but hopefully the water weight falls off quick then back to the real work. Welcome to everyone!
