Having a bad low carb day? None of us have those!! Great for you in getting right back into the saddle!!!

Carbs for yesterday - 27. Higher than I wanted, but I got sucked into some fruit at work. I was hungry and there were no other options. I pack my own food, but on a twelve hour shift I never quite know if I will do well or not. We did go to the movies and I declined any drink or popcorn, so that was a win for me.

I think I am going to try to go really clean this next week. I just feel like I have been bloating up and down for the last week when I decided to loosen the reins a bit. Time to get a good burn going.

Hi everyone!

Four more days till weigh in. Let's make it a great four days!

I had a NSV today. I went over to my daughter's house for strawberry shortcake this afternoon. I brought my own desert (SF jello made with cream cheese). I had her put two cut-up strawberries on it and some whipped cream! I did not even miss the scrumptious looking cake the dessert was served on. Mine tasted scrumptious too (although a hair less scrumptious!).

CBOZ: I had a McDouble today! We stopped for a quick lunch after church. I LOVED the McDouble. I threw the bottom half of the bun away because it was bigger than the top half. I really like to have some sort of a bun with my hamburger. I SO wished I had brought a half of an onion pocket. I would have liked that just as much for like one carb!!!!

By the way, I saw that the onion pockets were in (Netrition) so I ordered five bags of them, plus four loaves of the sesame bread. The onion pockets are indeed fabulous. I want to try using them for different things.

I had kind of a "meat and egg" weekend, but ended up adding some other stuff...but definitely a VERY LOW CARB weekend.

Carbs: 13 (although I have to check that 1/2 bun from McDonalds to be sure)
Knee exercises: YES!

Hope your day is going great!

Late.... Lunch...Went out for lunch with DH to one of our favorite Mexican food places...Had 3 ground beef tacos, made with the corn tortillas....I didn t let them put the big bowl of tortilla chips to munch on....drank only water...I always get a large plate of their FFs with my tacos...passed on that....First time to have any starch for awhile......so back on track tonight....
Atkins bar...Mudslide...

Nothing after 2PM today except...ice tea
Back to walking tape tomorrow...

Food for today -
B = coffee w/ HWC
L = roast with zoodles
D = rotisserie chicken with mashed cauliflower

I also got the munchies while the kids were chowing down on their Easter candy, so I ate a string cheese and a handful of olives as a snack.

Total carbs for the day - 33; net carbs - 24

I am a newbie who was told by my doctor to follow Protian Power diet. Does anyone know anything about this? Can I just follow South Beach or Atkins? I can't wait to meet all of you and learn how to stay in control of what I eat.

TOWER - You are amazing. Such willpower to eat sting cheese and olives while everyone else is chowing down.

So I still feel extremely bloated. Only had 10 carbs yesterday and got all my water in. Don't know if I am going through a phase right now with my body adjusting to everything or not. Do know though that the last couple of days my blood sugar has been below what my doctor wanted, so I must be doing something right. I guess the weight will start to come off easier once I get my blood sugar straightened out. I sure hope so!!!

KMOM - way to go on the NSV! Proud of you.

Freem06 - Sorry I don't know anything about that.

Hope everyon has a great low carbing day. Talk with everyone later.

Welcome Freem06....sorry...I don't know anything about that plan...I have several friends that use the South Beach....I think that is a good plan if you don't have a lot of weight to lose or have already lost a lot...

Hello All!

Carb count for yesterday was 11.

I will be leaving for a mini vacation this weekend. I wanted to let you all know that I may not have access to a computer. I hopefully will have a chance to log on in the early afternoon and tally everyones successes. :-) I promise to post mine. Even though I have a feeling it may be a gain. :-( I am feeling quite bloated lately. :-(

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

Hi everyone!

Carbs: 24
Knee exercises: YES!

I am anxious to step on the scale on day 25 (Friday). I feel a little apprehensive...I expect a loss because I have been so consistent. But we'll see. I'm at 6.5 so far and feel very thankful for that.

We can do this! We can get down to where we want to be! We just need to default to this WOE every day and keep trying. If we fall, we stand up. Red was the first to fall and the first to stand back up. She was our example. A few of us also fell, but we ALL stood up again and kept trying! We are doing this! There's no stopping us!

Missed my carb counts yesterday - 19 total, 13 net. Pretty good, considering I had a work breakfast thing to go to. I ate the eggs & bacon (and 2 strawberries) and avoided the hash browns and pastries!!!

Anxiously anticipating the Friday weigh in!!!!

Hey all! Super busy here going from one job to another! Carbs for yesterday - 23.

I am really nervous for the weigh in. I ate some chocolate last Friday, bloated right up and it hasn't really gone down yet. I want to see a loss on that scale! I was quite clean yesterday, very clean today (6 carbs so far) and if I'm clean tomorrow... Maybe this bloat will go down!

I'll come back and comment to everyone later tonight when I am done work.

Good day overall. I sure like the LC WOE. The food is so tasty and I like the full feeling I get. I feel so "even" and "steady" during the day. Early evening is when it is hard for me.

Hang in there everyone!

Good morning Low Carb Friends,

Tomorrow is the big day!

TOWER - great job on your work breakfast. Would have been hard for me to pass up hashbrowns!

CBOZ - the beach sounds wonderful. Hope you have a great time!!

LADY - I am going to have to try Big Red Zero. Sounds delish! Love Big Red.

KMOM - Great job of keeping up doing your knee exercises.

RED - Do you ever stop working? You are amazing!

Hope everyone has a great low carbing day!

Almost forget: 43 carbs yesterday and 10 glasses of water. Blood sugar the last couple of days has been below what the doctor wanted me to get it down too. So, even if tomorrow is a bust and I were to gain all my weight back (honestly not feeling like I have lost an ounce) at least this is working for my diabetes and the weight will come off eventually. (FINGERS CROSSED)

OK...this is it! Tomorrow is the big day. Yikes. Another ten days of eating LC. Maybe one or two days of higher carbs then I wanted, but overall I think I did great. We'll see what the scale says in the morning.

If someone has a weight gain, just post it and we will all be here to support you. We're in this together.

Carbs: 24
Knee Exercises: YES!

Well, I am up insanely early this morning because I still have a few papers to grade (that I am handing back to my students today!!!).

I went ahead & weighed - I am down 2.8 pounds! I'm pretty happy about that. I don't think there is any way I will make the goal I set for myself by the last day of the month (I wanted to be 188 by then), but I knew at the time that was a pretty aggressive goal given the pace of my weight loss at this point in the process. I REALLY want to be below 190 by this time next week, so that it easily possible. I just want to get these 190s in my rear view mirror!!!

Good luck everyone on their weigh-ins! I'll try to check in at some point later today to see the reports.
