I agree with Geiri - - if I don't have enough salt I get nauseous and dizzy when standing up...

4/1 off day
4/2 190.0
4/3 189.2
4/4 188.9
4/6 188.5
4/7 188.1
4/8 187.0
4/9 186.6
4/10 186.8

I had one tsp of n'joy creamer (ran out of the HWC)...
Also had more salad and extra seasoning on my hamburger for dinner.
Montreal steak seasoning - there maybe hidden carbs...?
Taking all that away today...
Fish for lunch, maybe for dinner too...
Maybe a jog today too...

Has anyone had problems with vitamins not showing the carbs labels?
I am thinking this is an issue with taking the following* extra
vitamins on Tuesday.
(along with possibly n'joy in my coffee yesterday)
the only other carb different.
centrium silver
vit C
Omega-3 * (packet with liquid, is sweet to taste)
reservatol *
tumeric *

Thanks for your help!!
Sorry, I do tend to over analyze..

Ha ha, Geiri, I usually get up at 2:30 or 3am the latest. I'm a nut I know. I go to bed at 7am. This all started when we lived in Alabama for many years and I had two jobs or sometimes 3 jobs. I would go to a resort office and clean it from 4am to 6 am and then work my regular job from 7am to 3:30 pm. Then we moved back to Vermont and New Hampshire and I took care of my Mother for 5 years and would get up very early to drive over to Vermont from New Hampshire (7 miles) and the habit just stuck. Also our dog and 2 cats are on the same schedule. lol And they are not about to change.

Julie, I have to admit I have never looked at the carb content of my vitamins. Maybe that is one of my problems with no loss?

Abigale - I do not think they are required to report them...??
But I'd have to look at the ingredients. Its just one more thing
to look at.

Thanks!

I assumed it was 7 pm. The dog and cat thing is so cute haha.

I doubt the carbs from vitamins will be high enough to be relevant. Even if you take many a day it's hard to picture it totaling to more than a single gram. But that's just my feelings on it, might be wrong.

I am actually down .2 today going by my lowest weight so far. So yesterday I didn't have any salty pork skins and that may have made the difference. We shall see. I am used to having a 9am snack which really is my breakfast. I usually don't eat or not much when I get up at 3am. Today I have made tuna salad and ate two bites, I may eat a couple of more bites at 9 and finish it at 11. So what did I do for breakfast/snack yesterday? I cut up some small cubes of unsalted butter. I know this sounds icky but it was not bad. I hoped my work mates thought I was eating cheese. lol But it was a good energy kick and cut the hunger.

So today it is tuna with mayo and some butter cubes, black coffee to drink.

See you all after work!

Howdy Meat People!!

I strayed from "meat only", for a week. I am now back into the carnivore groove.

Hey Abi, I'm a butter eater also. I eat Kerrygold or guormet butter just straight by itself. It is awesome.

I have noticed that when I'm sticking to meat only that I am losing belly fat more quickly. I am very insulin resistant and carry a lot a weight in my lower abdomen. So it is wonderful to see that stubborn fat melt away.

Bec, I am so happy you are getting good results from just meat. I have heard that kerrygold is a delicious butter. I have not seen any around here but maybe at the co op in town. I will have to check.

Even though I see this morning I am in deep ketosis I am still doing the scale bounce around. I am going to make a committment to myself to drink alot of water today. This is something I can't do while I am at work during the week but I should be able to manage it today.

I will check back later to see how everyone is doing!

Phew! I have finally seen a nice drop! Down 1.2 from yesterday. I had a mini goal of losing 5 pounds by Easter and I am at 5.8 down today from my March 27 start date! My next mini goal will be another 5 pounds by June first.

I ate ground beef with butter on it, coconut oil in my first cup of coffee. and more black coffee during the day. I made myself drink 3 bottles of water which I am sure was the big help on the loss. Maybe I can do that again today after church when I am back home. We shall see.

Have a great day gang!

Thanks Julie!

I know what you mean about being happy even if is just a few onces on the scale.

I am drinking my second cup of coffee and put two pats of unsalted butter in it. I also picked up a rotisserie chicken and ate the legs off it for breakfast. Boy those things are salty! I may pay for that tomorrow. But boy did it taste good. I'm sure as the day goes on I will help myself to some more.

It is raining here now so glad I raked the leaves yesterday! Need to get some indoor work done before back to work in the morning. Will pop back in later!

Well, I'm checking out. I'm not making any progress at mostly meat/low carb and I'm having too much stress to pay attention to it now. I'm just gonna lurk and be grumpy for a while....

Metqa, it certainly is frustrating not to be making progress. That pound I lost yesterday was back up today after the salty rotisserie chicken I ate yesterday. ugh

Stress is the worst thing for weight loss as it affects our cortisol levels. It is easy to say don't let it get to you but another to really be able to do it.

The one thing that is keeping me from total discouragement right now is seeing from the keto stix the last 2 days that I am in deep ketosis. When I lost alot of weight in 2008 my main objective then was to try to protect myself the best I could from cancer and alzheimers. Alot of what I read pointed to excess glucose as big problem with these two diseases. You can google "the Warburg effect" to see more information of how cancer cells use glucose.

So I will keep on with this way of eating to help prevent these diseases and try not to get down about the lack of weight loss at this point.

Keep on lurking and I hope that whatever is causing alot of stress right now for you is lessened soon!

Hey gang!

Had a wicked tempting day yesterday. The company I work for had a car show on sunday called cars and coffee. They brought all the leftover pasteries and donuts into the break room for us yesterday. As a kid I used to be deathly afraid of shots but finally learned if I didn't look at the needle it would be ok. So when I went to the breakroom at 9, 11 and 2 I just did not look at them and fortunately the person sitting across from me at my table didn't eat any either so I didn't have to watch them eat them.

Scale is still doing its dance but I am still in deep ketosis so all is good. Have a great day all!

After a warm rainy day yesterday and we are all thinking spring is finally here we woke up to 2 inches of snow on the ground and a bitter wind out there. sigh

The good news is I am down .8 pounds today. I really have not lost any more from my lowest but I can be hopeful that maybe getting to a lower level is on it's way. I feel good and peppy and that is very important to me.

I can't believe the office brought more boxes of pastries into the break room again yesterday. I had been bringing an un opened bag of pork skins trying not to get into them because of the salt. But yesterday was too much. I said I better nibble on them or I was going to dive into the donuts!

I have ground beef with butter on it, pork skins and black coffee packed for lunch.

Wishing you all a great day!

(total lost so far 5.8 lbs.)

Abigale - awesome - congrats !
Wow your office is on a roll...
Hang in there - looks like a yummy lunch!
(I keep a bacon snack around if I get hungry)

Metqa, thinking of you today, hope all is well.

I am down .4 from the start of tom, I can't really take the upward part of tom too seriously,
I figure its water. But take the .4 downward as progress!
